This may be good for all the meat eaters out there but the Royal Oak seem to think that no one is vegetarian after 60 - no veggie options offered at all on this deal; we went somewhere else. A PATHETIC and total lack of interest in the increasing number of veggies in this day and age!! Suggest any veggies... More

great pub but could do with some candles on tables to make it look more welcoming...the first person you see when entering any pub is the bar person. They should greet their customers with a smile and courtesy,it makes all the difference!!

Had a meal Saturday night. A very limited menu , apparently a new menu next week. But why open if you cannot offer a full menu. Also very strange starter. Soup was ok but accompanied by bread already buttered, or was it stork? Couldn't see a dessert that was tempting. Really not good value for money.

Hi Trevor, thank you for your feedback and our apologies as you should have received unbuttered bread with a portion of butter on the side, the butter we use is Wyke farms butter. As far as limited menu goes we offer fully fresh ingredients from local suppliers and on Saturday we had eight options for starters and light bites and... More

We were there in May for a couple of celebrations, we drop off and asked for balloons to be put on the table, which wasn't there when we arrived and was bought to us after we sat down. Waited ages for menus or anyone coming to see if we wanted drinks and had to get up and ask. Took ages... More

Lovely lunch here in the week it reopened. After some disappointing, overpriced meals under the previous ownership we were a little wary but so pleased to report on the huge improvements at our "local". Good sized portions of proper, unpretentious pub food at reasonable prices. Very friendly, enthusiastic owner too. Looking forward to a Sunday roast soon.

Good to see the Royal Oak open again for business, although not sure everyone is aware of it yet.
