Cute and cozy

What a cute little pub, we were lucky enough to go on a bright sunny day after trekking for around 3 and half hours through the forest this little delight was at the end! vibrant busy but not crowded pub, very good portion sizes and not overpriced, good spot for locals and holiday makers alike. Warm welcome, nice staff. Menus has good choice and excellent specials board....Fish Friday had seven or eight good choices on specials. Highly recommend this charming busy pub..

The pub is a very attractive building, inside and out. The outside area is nice too. However, the staff don't seem terribly on the ball, apart from a young man, who was very well mannered and seemed as though a natural in the service industry. The menu was a little odd and had 'V' for vegetarian against fish/seafood dishes..? However... More

Like many of the other reviewers we hadn't been to the royal oak for a while. Pleasantly surprised. Simple pub food but freshly cooked, good service, welcome back
