I had pre-arranged and organised to have a surprise meal at The Blue Ball for my partners 30th Birthday, after a few emails were exchanged between myself and the land lady Pip we came to the perfect Arrangments and herself and staff accommodated all my requests with delight and upon arrival I was overwhelmed by how well they had done... We took our friend here for her birthday and we were looked after really well. The food was superb. we would recommend this pub for all occasions as it has a large bar area and lots of smaller more intimate areas to drink or dine in.

4 of us had Sunday lunch here. It was only average and not that busy either. Will we return to eat? Only if there was nothing else available. A shame really as the welcome, beer and attention was all as it should be.

Such a quaint pub, looks like a tardis, small from the outside and large on the inside. Delicious Sunday meal and one of the few pubs around that cater for a gluten free child. 5 of us ate really well and drank well in such a lovely cosy atmosphere with a live jazz band in the background

Called into the the Blue Ball by chance today. Immediately impressed by such a warm welcome and how polite the staff proved to be. Don't expect your typical pub fare because this is so very much better. Very impressed by the quality of the food and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to returning again when in the area.

We had dinner in the Blue Ball on Saturday evening. We were greated by lovely open fires in the bar areas whilst we selected from the very good value menu. Our meal started with a complimentary home baked warm small loaf which was very tasty. The starter and main course were delicious and very well presented. The Blue Ball is... More

My wife and I visited evening off 22nd October 2014. Nice welcome from staff. Good menu and our choices of steak and kidney pie and chicken chasseur were beautiiful. Desserts of sticky toffee pudding and panacotta were also delicious. Great all round. Thank you.

We called in for a pub lunch and had baguettes so cannot really talk about the restaurant menu. The baguettes were nice with excellent chips. The pub is well laid out with a welcome warm log fire. The service was good and the welcome warm. We will return to try the restaurant menu.

Went there for Sunday lunch with the family, there were 7 of us. The menu was extensive with loads of choice. Unfortunately most of us opted for the traditional Sunday lunch and the quality was less than we would expect. We booked our table for 2pm which on hindsight was getting to the end of "service" but you should expect... More

My friend and I went there on Tuesday 23rd Sept for lunch and we had a lovely meal. I had mushroom and stilton soup, thai chicken curry and chocolate and orange brownie. I also had a lovely glass of Prosecco. The waiter was lovely and attentive even though he was busy. The lady behind the bar was also very nice.... More
