Used the venue to meet & eat with relatives & exchange Xmas gifts being halfway for each of us. Booking was made over the phone, very friendly & confirmed that it is dog friendly. Arrived & parked easily in nearby pay & display. Greeted & served by friendly bar girl. Food was superb, honest & very good value. Only gripe... More

I visited The Eagle Inn, Ross - on -Wye on the 23rd of November for sunday lunch. The pub was beautifully clean and staff were really welcoming and helpful. We ordered a Lamb and chicken Sunday lunch. The food was served promptly and looked and tasted beautiful, a proper home cooked Sunday dinner. To top off the meal we had... More

Visiting Ross on Wye for a few hours we decided on a quick bite to eat. We decided on this traditional looking pub. We both opted for the aubergine lasagne with chips, which was on a buy one get one half price deal. After a 15 minute wait, it arrived by a friendly member of the bar staff. The food... More

Have visited here quite a few times since the new landlord and landlady took over at the start of the year. The staff are always welcoming and the draught beer and cider are kept well. Lovely wholesome pub food at a good price. Nice outside area and a sports bar too.

What an amazing baked potato with the biggest side salad I have ever seen. Very tasty. The staff were all very welcoming, professional and helpful. All the food I saw delivered to others eating in the pub had great looking food. The icing on the cake was the fact that dogs were welcomed. Overall a great experience. Would recommend to... More

As we wandered the hilly streets of wonderful Ross-on-Wye, we came upon The Eagle Inn and they advertised on the board outside Sunday Roast 7 Pounds 95p and the desserts were only 2 Pounds (unheard of!) so decided this be the place for our Sunday meal. It's not real pubby inside as you would think from looking at the exterior,... More

The Eagle is a very pleasant place with plenty of room and a decent selection of beers and ciders. It also offers plenty of outdoor space with shelter.

had read the reviews on TA before going ,so decided to go here to eat , it has just been turned into a sports/wine bar type place and lost any sort of atmosphere the frontage suggests, the usual beers on at most chains and not well kept , a pint of stowford press cider tasted like vinegar , sadly we...
