To be honest this place didn't look great from the outside - but we were in the area with a dog and needed some food. Inside, it's a great welcome, clean with modern seating, fairly obvious pub food done very well, fair prices (fish finger doorstop with chips and salad £6.95) and the dog enjoyed a nice lie down. It's... More

We found that there were a limited number of places we fancied to eat in Ross on Wye so we tried this one. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the menu reasonable. My friends' burgers were nicely presented and very tasty. I only wanted a snack but my jacket potato was perfectly cooked and generously covered with cheese. As it... More

Whilst in Ross our family including our Grandson of 9 months visited the Eagle Inn and were made to feel very welcome and at ease. The staff especially Helen couldn't of done anything more for us - from getting a highchair to even bringing our drinks to us. We would certainly go back again without hesitation.

Located right in the centre of Ross on Wye. This pub has received a great make-over. It looks very smart and is a great place for a drink and food. Worth a visit.

Visited lunchtime Saturday 24 October. Ordered Stilton and Broccoli soup, fish finger sandwich and tea for two - £24. Soup arrived with white bread after asking for wholemeal. Soup had no flavour, was not seasoned, had almost no Stilton and tasted like water with sawdust in it! Soup refunded in full. Fish finger sandwich arrived, again in white bread with... More

What a fantastic find! A great pub. Clean, welcoming with great friendly staff. We visited with two dogs who were welcome in all areas. We settled in to watch the rugby (England Vs Ireland) in the sports bar. What a venue! A separate area with at least six free to play (yes free to play)! Pool tables. Many darts boards... More

Went on a spontaneous trip to Ross-on-Wye and stumbled across this place. Wasn't expecting anything special, just a bit of pub grub. We had the Sunday Roast and it was lovely! They didn't scrimp on the trimmings either. We had dessert which was great too as part of their two courses deal (which I think was £9.95 or £10.95) I... More
