Really Nice Place

Located right in the centre of Ross on Wye. This pub has received a great make-over. It looks very smart and is a great place for a drink and food. Worth a visit.

Visited lunchtime Saturday 24 October. Ordered Stilton and Broccoli soup, fish finger sandwich and tea for two - £24. Soup arrived with white bread after asking for wholemeal. Soup had no flavour, was not seasoned, had almost no Stilton and tasted like water with sawdust in it! Soup refunded in full. Fish finger sandwich arrived, again in white bread with... More

What a fantastic find! A great pub. Clean, welcoming with great friendly staff. We visited with two dogs who were welcome in all areas. We settled in to watch the rugby (England Vs Ireland) in the sports bar. What a venue! A separate area with at least six free to play (yes free to play)! Pool tables. Many darts boards... More

Went on a spontaneous trip to Ross-on-Wye and stumbled across this place. Wasn't expecting anything special, just a bit of pub grub. We had the Sunday Roast and it was lovely! They didn't scrimp on the trimmings either. We had dessert which was great too as part of their two courses deal (which I think was £9.95 or £10.95) I... More

We ended up here for Sunday lunch because I pulled in to the wrong car park! How good was that? The welcome we got was warm and friendly. Tables were hastily arranged so that we could sit together.....no trouble at all. The six of us had the roast dinner....two each of chicken, lamb, and beef, It was beautifully cooked and... More

A beautiful day, followed with a fantastic meal of chicken fillet burger. So delicious and served on a wooden platter,we were impressed. Staff were on hand at our arrival, to take our order with a welcoming smile. although refurbishment in progress, customers were met with apology notices with a clean environment thank you......
