had read the reviews on TA before going ,so decided to go here to eat , it has just been turned into a sports/wine bar type place and lost any sort of atmosphere the frontage suggests, the usual beers on at most chains and not well kept , a pint of stowford press cider tasted like vinegar , sadly we... Visited as group of eight including two children plus dog. Great welcome and enjoyed a tour of the menu. Veg burger, steak, hot dog, gammon, beef burger, scampi lltus two kids meals. Very well cooked and presented. Our 11 year old appreciated being allowed to play pool. Good hand pulled beer. Would recommend as a classic pub for food and... More

Four of us enjoyed a lunchtime meal in very pleasant surroundings. Two had the chicken, leek & mushroom pie, this was really good pub grub and plenty of it at a great price. One had lamb shank and the other scampi and chips, again good food at a great price. Sadly we were told by the friendly landlords that they... More

Three of us were wondering where to eat in Ross and chose the Eagle by chance. The interior has obviously been upgraded recently and is now very pleasant. There is a good range of drinks on offer. The menu is pub grub type food but there are plenty of specials on the board. The pub was pretty quiet at lunchtime... More

We really enjoyed our meal in the Eagle my wife was driving so I was lucky enough to sample some of the excellent ales they had on. The food and service was very good and it was a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The pub is very tidy and has excellent outdoor space I hope to be visiting again soon.

The new management has a lot to live up to. We had a quick lunch, and my liver and bacon casserole was reheated and cold in the middle. Lots of cheap liver, hardly any bacon. Were undercharged as they forgot to add the drinks, which helped, but lunchtime pub grub was an experience we won't be repeating. A shame as... More

This pub has been recently closed, but is now under new management . Sunday 23rd March me and my son was looking for a place to have a Sunday roast, and as I had been there under the old owner ,I thought id try this new manager . The food was well cooked and tasty and hot (which is one... More

We visited the Eagle Inn on Monday the 12th January, apparently the 1st day of opening for the new owners, the food was excellent value for money and very tasty too. PUB GRUB at its best, a must try for a good homecooked experience
