A lovely warm welcome

This is a lovely pub to visit especially in the Winter with the wonderful roaring log fire to welcome you. As soon as we entered we were given a great welcome and made to feel at ease by the landlord and the locals. The cask beers were lovely.

We were warmly greeted and made to feel welcomed. A lovely rustic atmosphere. There was a varied selection of traditional ales as well as a good selection of wines,

We were a family party of 7, celebrating some good news, in the restaurant. I could not fault the food and service, we all voted it a big hit.The curries were unbelievably good, congratulations to the chef. The service was swift and efficient, from both restaurant and bar. Definitely will be returning to The Crown.Thank you for not hurrying us... More

I brought my dog in, yes I admit it I shouldn't of done, in a small environment, I scolded her and put her in the car, after I was approached, by a man, who told me he would of thrown my dog through the window, she only barked, at the other dog, when the other dog came to her, no... More

We ate there lastnight. It was fantastic. we saw it was an Indian restaurant inside the pub and thought it may be odd, how wrong we were, the food was very good as too were all the restaurant and bar staff. The food was beautifully presented and there were lots of dishes I had not seen before. I can highly... More

The restaurant is set in the village pub. A first class meal while you have a lager or glass of wine. What better!

Reasonable meal at this venue. Service could do with being a bit better. We asked for water and it didn't arrive for a LOOONG time. Wine was cheap and pretty good. Curry was ok, nothing to write home about. I ordered a hot curry and it was medium. Was not very busy and would probably not go back again if... More

Went here for a one night stay with my friend but as soon as you walked into the bar, it stunk of cigarette smoke and looked grubby. Used the one and only public toilet which was covered in thick layer of dust, dirty and the door lock didn't work! We were shown to our twin room which was a decent... More

Stayed in Lea for a few days over the bank holiday, and before travelling checked out the reviews for the Crown and was looking forward to spending a few nights in the bar and trying out the beer and food. Unfortunately it was not to be. Upon entering the pub I was taken back a decade by the rank smell... More
