Delightful little coffee shop plus

Just near the market square of Ross this coffee shop stands out from the others. The coffee/tea and cakes are superb but the atmosphere is lovely. It also sells jewellery and small local arts and crafts. I live near Ross and my friend and I always choose this place to meet up for coffee.

Me & my hubby popped in here for a quick snack, I ended up having a hot chocolate topped with fresh cream, marshmallows and a flake, I thought that I had died & gone to heaven. My hubby had a cream tea & throughly enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly & we recommend going here to anyone.

When we can, my husband and I go to Ross on Wye. Our first stop is at Pots and Pieces for light refreshments. The small tea shop also sells interesting and sometime slightly quirky gifts! That is not what we visit this establishment for though. The menu offers lovely homemade cakes, scones, toasted and ordinary sandwiches, soup and [my favourite]... More

We stopped off in Ross looking for somewhere to have a nice up of coffee and a cake. We were drawn to this cafe by the delicious looking home made cakes in the window. It is a great cafe in which to sit and watch the world go by. Service was ok - normally I wouldn't have minded it being... More

Thank you for your review, we were pleased you were able to sample our lovely cakes despite them disappearing while you waited. Our staff were exceptionally busy on Saturday in our absence and the cakes were all snapped up! Sorry to read your coffee was'nt up to our usual standard I think this was the exception to the rule. I'm not sure this can possibly be the best coffee in town (see other reviews) If it is then the rest of the coffee in the town must be god-awful. The salad was a throw back from the eighties. The highlight was the Moroccan lamp we bought. Don't need to go back.

Best cafe in Ross-on-Wye. Excellent service, atmosphere and food. Consistently good. Would recommend for a light lunch or morning coffee / afternoon tea.

Stopped here for a cup of tea and some tea cakes after a long walk in the hills above the town. Nice friendly staff, good proper tea and nicely toasted tea cakes. There was a good selection of cakes which looked good but we resisted. The shop is also full of things of sale .... And I was struck by... More

Pots & Pieces is a lovely coffee shop with a relaxing atmosphere. Unlike some coffee shops, this one manages to avoid the mummy and toddler brigade. It's a welcome change if you are looking for somewhere to go and have a quiet chat or just read the paper in peace. We called in this morning and were greeted and given... More

A warm and welcoming retreat on a cold January day, recommended to us by the nearby delicatessens. Friendly staff in a medium sized; attractively presented room, adorned by various arty items that were also on sale. A good choice of teas and generous proportions of sandwich filling; all at very reasonable prices.
