We have just spend the afternoon at The White Loin with my four year old daughter and grandparents. The menu was varied and catered for both my daughter and my grandparents and was very reasonable . The food was great and very prompt and the service was fantastic. The view speaks for itself "stunning". It is well worth a visit... More

Booked for eight, some items already off menu but portions generous. Eat early. A pub to drink in, beer better than food.

Stopped by on the off chance, saw whale of a fish and chips on the menu, didn't really expect a whale but actually got one, it was huge and really tasty staff were really welcoming and sitting outside by the river is lovely, beer was good too!

If the weather is fine - this has a lovely garden overlooking the Wye. However not so impressed by the fact that we all ordered Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Baguettes - which arrived at the table minus the Cranberry with no explanation until we asked - quite surprised that no one bothered to come out and check that we still... Lovely food and great portion size. We enjoyed a relaxing, peaceful evening eating overlooking the river wye. Affordable. Would definitely return.

We were part of a group of nearly 30 people who spent the weekend camping here, we had breakfast and evening meals here. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. With so many of us we pre ordered our evening meal and everyone had a hot delicious meal at the same time. Nothing was too much... More

It was a beautiful warm and sunny day, my Australian friend, Michael, and I decided to go out for a pub lunch. We could not have chosen a better pub; everybody was friendly and chatty as we arrived in the pub garden which is right on the river. We sat at a table overlooking the River Wye with swans floating... More

Visited here on a Friday evening and found the riverside setting very pleasant. Good choice of seating and an impressive choice of food. The fish options were generally high calibre and the fish pie from the specials menu was very good indeed. Service was courteous and attentive, and the all round experience was a happy one which I look forward... More

A cold, wet summer evening....uplifted and inspired by a spontaneous visit to the White Lion. Chose the Fish stir fry off the 'Specials' board. It was quite simply delicious...unpretentious and flavourful. Enjoyed every morsel. Followed by the indulgent Banoffee Pie. Service was good...friendly without being pushy.

Went recently with a group of friends, two of whom ordered a mushroom stroganoff. What was delivered to them bore no resemblance to any mushroom stroganoff that I've ever seen - watery yellow liquid, no sign of any onions, garlic or herbs and a pile of plain button mushrooms swimming around in it. Truly awful. The rice that accompanied it... More
