you expect basic for the price. What you dont expect is less than basic service. The staff are morose and miserable and its really too much of a bother having customers; they obviously get in the way.

Been to the price of Wales plenty of times and it has always be really good however today was different, there was nothing wrong with the food me and my partner really enjoyed it however I found a member of staff extremely rude! Her attitude towards me when serving me at the bar was appalling! She kept walking past the... More

Fantastic value, good service, generous portions with fresh salad and good coffee. Would thoroughly recommend lunch in the garden.

I think the saying goes 'you get what you pay for'. On the up side there was a good selection of drinks and the pudding was nice. My surf and turf was on the cold side and only got four prices of scampi. Husband had mixed grill but the lamb was undercooked. Alot of meat for £8 though. Maybe I'm... More

We ate in the Prince of Wales on a Monday, the food was very good. Reading other reviews, people expect to get five star food for the price of a bag of chips and then moan when they don`t get it. The food we had was a good standard and less than half the price I would expect to pay... More

Excellent? Very good? Average? Those are our choices on Trip Advisor, so for me 'average' sums it up. Management of the Prince of Wales obviously have good intentions, and the menu is certainly tempting with the prices being very competitive. However, when the tables are sticky and the menus are crumpled and food stained, it doesn't reassure you about things.... More

Not much! Food is cheap, yes. Good, no. Such a shame for the young staff who have to deal with the complaints. Four in our group ordered steak, none were cooked as requested. We could have lived with that but two were of such bad quality, they were inedible. The youngters tried their best but had no answer to why... More
