"You get what you pay for..."

Visited today, Sunday 25th Jan, for Sunday lunch and overall the third time we have been here...and every time there has been an issue with our order....either incorrect delivery or something out of stock. Whilst the food itself is actually very good (enjoyed today's carvery immensely) what lets... read more

I visited this pub with my partner and 3 year old daughter. We ordered..then we waited..and then we waited..and then we waited more. Finally after a 45 minute wait my partner was handed a mixed grill with 3 items missing from the plate. My daughter given a roast dinner that was so bland everything tasted of nothing and the meat (which we took... Ten of us visited The Prince of Wales last Sunday for Mother's Day. We had expected it to be busy and it was, but the staff were very attentive and our meals were all served very quickly. A few had the carvery which was delicious with plenty of choice. We even had free glasses of Prosecco with our meal! This... More

As a person with great experience in catering and hospitality I can honestly say this chain of pubs is terrible! The quality of food is poorer than served in a prison. I feel honestly sorry for the poor people who have to bring it out, the service at this particular pub on the day I have to say was shabby... More

Have used the Prince many times and always enjoy great service and brilliant value for money food. Has a wide range of food on the menu all at great prices.

Popped in for lunch with my husband & young daughter. Overall first impressions was it looked tacky & cheap. It took a good 15mins to have our table cleared. With dirty finished plates from the previous customers sat at the table. When my food arrived it was 'stone cold'. So had to wait for 10mins to receive it back. The... More

I came to the Prince of Wales for a meal as my partner was at work, I ordered a 8oz steak medium rare, with mashed potatoes and a peppercorn sauce, with no peas. It took no more than 10/15 minutes to arrive to my table. A waitress who i think was called Tia brought my food and made sure i... More

I was a bit dubious to begin with - when something seems to good to be true, it probably is! So I wasnt expecting particularly good food. However, we were all pleasantly surprised. 6 of us ate for £32, the food was delicious and hot, it came very quickly and the portions were a really good size. I'm not going... More

The food is excellent value for money, but £3.45 for a pint of Butty Bach is far too much. I'd pay that in an Oxford city centre pub where that seems to be the going rate, but certainly not in an out of town Ross food pub.
