The Indian of choice in Ross on Wye

A really lovely Indian restaurant - does take away food as well as eat-in. Staff are delightful and very helpful. The discount card system offered makes it a very good value option, and the food is excellent, every time.

Last time I ate in at Indian Summer must have been nearly two years ago. Then, the restaurant looked attractive, sleek, clean and glossy: high end, and the food was delicious. Back then there was a beaming maitre d'hotel, smiling, helpful, polite waiters, and a lovely ambience. I visited again very recently, with a friend and neighbour, on a Tuesday.... More

We came here on New Years Eve and the food was very good, good value for money, and the service was friendly.

Arrived at 6.15pm on a Friday and the place was empty. Our order was taken and we waited and waited and waited. Food ordered as take away was coming out of the kitchen, but we were ignored and kept on waiting. Finally the order arrived at 7.30. We should've gone elsewhere because it was very oily/greasy sauces and small portions... More

This restaurant is in serious need of a make over having stained seating and poor tired decor. The service was pleasant but I am only able to rate the food as average. The restaurant is fairly typical of many others that I have visited over the years and in my opinion there are better Indian Restaurants in Ross.

We had an excellent meal at Indian Summer, with tasty starters and mains, and one of the best Nan breads we have ever had. We could not fault the food. The only issue was the restaurant itself which was quite tired and the upholstery was in need of cleaning. However, we would go to Indian Summer again based on our... More

We were staying at the Royal just around the corner and fancied something to eat after 10pm. It was a terrible evening blustery and drizzly, we spotted the restaurant from across the street. First impressions weren't good, decor was a little tired and could do with an update. We ordered from the menu service was quick food was hot and... More

Having been reluctant to visit Indian Summer for many years, I visited last night at last, and was mighty impressed, attentive staff, quality food and reasonable prices, you cannot really ask for more. OK the place needs a bit of a spruce up, but I for one will return, the garlic/keema nan bread was to die for.

First impressions were that the impractical cream coloured fabric seats were somewhat stained, which was off putting. After that the food was fairly unremarkable and garlic prawns were served in a lot of oil. We were charged about £51 for a two course meal for two with a couple of glasses of wine, so it was not especially good value... More

A very wide ranging menu with many specialities based on the heat of the dish as well as the usual standards. Portion sizes are better than expected. Generally helpful staff and fairly quick service even when busy. Best to book on Fridays and Saturdays. They do a mid week special that includes starter, main, pudding or coffee for £9.95. Drinks...
