Second time we've had Sunday lunch here and again we were pleased to do so having travelled some 60 miles. Attractive surroundings and a friendly welcome make a good start. We arrived early but were made very welcome with tea/coffee and drinks readily provided. Lunch is a standard Sunday meal but menu is well balanced with good variety. We were... More

We stayed for one night B & B in the Pixie Anne suite which was absolutely delightful. Excellent decor and facilities including Kingsize bed which was very comfortable. Ample parking. Even though we left the windows open overnight there was no undue noise from the A40 which is just on the far side of the approach road. The staff were... More

Very friendly service, polite and courteous. The food was very good with a good selection of food. The restaurant is small but the tables are not too close together.

Well it all started so well. nice table, good service. Starter and main meal great. This is when it all went wrong. Staff forgot to come back to us. They where busy clearing tables we had to wait 25mins to order puddings. When they came they where nothing to write home about. We ordered coffee ...........it was burnt...............I have never... Thank you for your input - we do apologise that you're dessert order was not taken immediately and we do apologise again that you had burned coffee - I did speak to you at reception and you did say that everything was marvellous apart from the coffee for which I did apologise for....thank you for visiting us and we hope... I try not to use the word 'nice' in general, as I find it an obsolete adjective, but it pretty much describes the meal we had tonight. The food was good, but the prices were as such it should be excellent. The wine menu very limited, with 3 of the 7/8 white wines 'out' as described on the menu (hand... More

Went for a meal before Christmas and whilst only group in the place the food was dire possibly why so quiet. Staff were trying hard but it was such a let down. Chef should be made to eat his own dishes crockery included. Money must easy to serve up this rubbish.

We were a party of 11 for a birthday celebration. The welcome was relaxed and very accommodating for a guest with a motorised wheelchair. Starters were all excellent, mains good but the roast potatoes and yorkshires were slightly over cooked, desserts all home made and delicious. Overall a very pleasant and good value dining experience. We would happily return!
