Well, after reading the Sunday Times' travel recommendation we came back very disappointed with the lunch time "Fruit de mer". With a restaurant that seemingly specialises with seafood the prawns and muscles we received were so cold and part frozen that they were completely tasteless. The crab was tasty but nothing rip roaring and the chicken with mint dressing was... More

I ate here with my family as a group of 5 on a busy Saturday night in August. Obviously booked a few weeks ahead, but disappointingly was given the table in the back corner. ( top tip- specify the table you want ( window preferably) and call the day before to check they've got it logged). It was very hot... More

My fiance and I returned here in July after enjoying a great meal the year before and it was still great. The food was lovely (I love shellfish) but still with options for my fiance who is not 100% keen on fish! I particularly like the touch of the prawn foam sweets with the bill. Will definitely return again, would... More

We ate here on a busy lunchtime last week on a beautiful hot sunny day and the surroundings are fantastic! The cracked crab that I ordered was perfectly prepared and presented and for the quality of food was very well priced. We had a full compliment of happy diners and empty plates at our table at the end of the... More

Went here last week having. Booked 2 months before for our planned holiday .Requested the barbeque .Arrived being shunted to the back in a hot humid room as no outside views are reserved and were told we could not have the barbeque menu from an extremely rude and obnoxious waitress/lady manager. It was if she had repeated herself to many guests... What a location! Great for sunny warm days and nights close to the beach dinning for light lunches or barbecue dinners. Even in a storm it has great atmosphere

We stayed just up the hill from North Sands so the WP was local. First night we had booked for dinner and all was good, if nothing exceptional. We then had the BBQ which is good value and is held in a great atmosphere. Finally breakfast, Kippers were lovely and the buffet items were good but 3 of us had... More

We have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant in all our lives! We're locals and were embarrassed and surprised as to the attitude of the staff. In particular, there was a young lady on the till taking orders with blue hair and wearing a backwards cap. (I hate to name and shame but her attitude was so bad I... More
