Cute place on the beach front - really original.... However no table service and quite the queue to order food.... Nice prawns but a finger bowl would have been appreciated!! Would visit again as in such a pretty spot!

This is a gem of a beach side restaurant. A varied menu which boasts fish, shellfish, meat and chicken dishes to suit every discerning palate. There's a choice of three menus throughout the day. A marvellous buffet breakfast, a fabulous lunchtime menu including salads and various baguette fillings and a different dinner menu. I can recommend so many of the... More

Had a brief bite here. Simple lunch. Tasty and as it said on the tin. Lovely position overlooking North Sands.

After a lovely stroll along the beach we decided to order a bite to eat for lunch, nothing too time consuming on the kitchens behalf, we ordered a portion of chips and a wrap. There were 3-4 other tables sat outside and nobody inside a grand total of 30 mins passed before we asked politley how long our food was... More

We had a table booked for dinner, but due to a lack of taxis from Hope Cove we were unable to make it, instead we went for lunch the following day. We had the dressed crab and the bucket of prawns which both came with salad and a baguette. It was amazing, and nothing could be faulted. A dressing up... More

We went on a Monday night but restaurant was still three quarters full so a nice atmosphere. Great ambience and setting as well as very good food. We'd certainly recommend the crab/prawn cocktail starter and the monkfish main course. The white Rioja also went down well. All the food was very well cooked/presented and the service was attentive and friendly.... More

We went here for lunch and had a lovely time - we had the chicken with sweet chilli sauce baguettes (yummy) and as it was a sunny September afternoon we ate in the garden part of The Winking Prawn overlooking North Sands beach. It's a real tradition to come here for us whilst on holiday in Salcombe and as long... More

We visited salcombe whilst on a family break. The winking prawn couldn't be better placed and was really the only offering we could see. We arrived about 2pm and it was relatively busy. The menu had a good choice for lunch. The tables in the garden looked a little tired and all in all the place felt a little messy.... More
