Most excellent breakfast, huge kipper and possibly the best scrambled eggs I have eaten, good coffee, sunshine and one of the best views in the country.
Great place for the young when visiting Salcombe. Real party atmosphere in the summer with good food and the chance to dress up. The BBQ meals outside are also great on a sunny day and the close proximity of the restaurant to the beach is great. Parking on site or next door at a price.
Right next to beach-stunning spot whatever the weather.Beachside café -family & dog friendly.beach barbies &lots to entertain kids.Evenings turn to gastro eating delicious local dishes & &atmospheric surroundings.Staff make a party atmosphere. Can't wait to return in March!
We love it. Sit outside with the dog, crafty sandwich and cider. Yummy. Recommend. Always busy. But staff always smiling. Dog water bowls outside.

Having ordered our lunches at the counter (which is clearly stated on the menus!) our salad, baguettes and kiddies sandwiches... More

The baguettes were fine but the filling was scant and I struggled to see what was so good... More

Sorry but, as a result, I can't review the food. The place itself is literally a shed, staff had not... More
We have been a huge fan of the Winking Prawn over the many years of visiting Salcombe, its a regular destination or stop on a long walk and we have dined there many times in the evening. We love the atmosphere, the decoration and until now the food. Its also noticeable that the Winking Prawn Limited is expanding with new... More
In my review of the WP in October I said that the espresso was thin. Yesterday we had kids hot chocolate and enormous mochas and they were brilliant! A real improvement. 5 stars!
Wife and I visited for lunch. We ordered a baguette and a wrap. Each arrived with a garnish of green leaves. Very plain and nothing to make you say "that was really nice". It wouldn't take a lot to maybe add a bit of coleslaw and tomato to the plate. It's not even going the extra mile, that's what most... More
