Had reservations last night for 14, we arrived an hr late due to traffic delays, seated straight away, the staff were quick getting us drinks and accommodating our separate bills, Rachel, took charge and was on point, swift and advising on specials, kept returning to check on us, didn't wait long for the food, really good all round, it was... Only a fleeting visit, which was probably good in a way that we did not stay too long, seemed like we were interrupting things rather than being customers. Quick service by the bar tender who was pleasant with the drinks.

Stayed in the Premier Inn next door. For Dinner i made the mistake of having the mixed grill. Looking at the menu if looked fabulous in reality was pretty poor. The largest piece of meat was the gammon, the steak was embarrassingly small, likewise the sausage, which was just a bit bigger than a cocktail sausage. The pub it self... More

Visited here with my husband, got told waiting time for a table would be 25-40mins, was shown to a table within half an hour, the service up to then was really good Our waiter then presented himself to us, a bit too overly friendly and made us feel a little uncomfortable calling is both 'guys' and myself 'love' Our starters... My wife and myself are regular visitors to the stonecross especially for lunch and the menus are wide and varied in choice. An excellent value choice is the daytime menu which offers various food choices at less than the cost of the evening menu. We can recommend the Thai green curry which is top quality and quite filling for lunch... More

Here on business and popped in after a long drive. Service was good, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Was seated straight away, ordered & it came out within 10 - 15 mins. I had a salmon salad & it was exactly as the menu described & was really nice. All in all, can't complain... Very nice.

Terrible service, the sever was a young girl called Kelly, we arrived and were shown to our table. Not even given a chance to consult the meals menu before being asked what we wanted to drink! (If we had been given a chance we probably would have ordered wine as the meal was part of a birthday celebration). It just... More
