This is a tiny little restaurant but the food is incredible. The sushi is really really good. All made nice and fresh. The mains weren't anything to write home about but the sushi made up for it! Very expensive and I can't believe they don't open up for lunchtime takeaway?!? Would definitely recommend!

We were so excited to see Kikuno open as we are huge fans of Japanese food and I am delighted to say that we have become regulars and dine there at least once a week. The food is of the highest quality and King and her team deliver great service. Since they have learnt our preferences, the chef is constantly... More

made a last minute reservation on Saturday and had no problems getting in which can be an ominous sign but I needn't have worried. We've been many times to Oisi in West Byfleet and always had excellent food if a tad pricey but given the qulaity, fair enough. Well, we both felt that Kikuno surpassed Oisi. The food was at... More

Having read previous reviews we were nervous about this restaurant but were so excited about a local Japanese (since our only visit to the Japanese in West Byfleet was disastrous) that we gave this a chance. I am so pleased we did! The restaurant is comfortable, the service was incredibly warm- nothing was too much trouble and the food was... More

The sushi and sashimi were not great quality at all. Tempora prawns were equally terrible to be perfectly honest I have nothing positive to say. The food was really poor. Typically we go to the Japanese in West Byfleet which is outstanding. I really don't see this place lasting long. Nice looking inside I guess. Feel slightly bad about writing... More

We have been to Kikuno on two occasions and will definitely be going back very soon. On each visit, there was a warm welcome and we were sat in one of the booths, a nice touch when equally busy restaurants would squeeze a couple on to one of the smaller tables. Our food selection was varied, with warm & cold... More

My wife described our meal as the worst Japanese meal she has ever eaten. However, I did have a worse one once. The decoration is poorly done (eg. light switches painted over). The sashimi did not seem to be sushi grade fish and also seemed to be chunks rather than slices. The udon noodle soup with prawn and vegetables was... More
