Fabulous evening

We had a wonderful and very enjoyable evening at the bull, staters were all amazing, mains looked great however the steak that two of us had were very tough and not cooked as requested. Pudding was incredible which made up for the problem with the mains. Good service and a great atmosphere.

This is fairly local for us and we have visited two or three times before. It's part of the Chef & Brewer Chain and we recently had Tesco Vouchers so another couple of trips were made over the weekend with family. The pub is a Grade ll listed building, parts dating back to the 18th century although this is less... More

Have been here twice in the last week and were surprised by the wide choice of food choices. Sometimes this can be a worry but we have tried a variety of dishes and found them OK although, we found the desserts a bit sickly. This is not fine dining but still to a reasonable standard. Service can be a little... More

This pub is very warm and friendly. The staff are ok for serving drinks and polite. But good service wise it is a struggle. Very good quality pub food nothing special tho for the price

My wife and Inlaws visited for a Sunday lunch on a sunny afternoon. Arriving early we ordered drinks and sat in the garden. Service was friendly. We moved inside when everybody arrived and ordered our food. Aflgain service was prompt and friendly. The food was very good. A very well prepared Dover sole, a curry, a mized meat roast dinner... Went to the Bull on Tuesday for some lunch, the staff couldn`t have been less helpful. We ordered chicken in a sandwich and less than half way through realised this meat was practically raw and just could not touch it anymore! We brought this to the attention of the staff who couldn`t have cared less. It was announced to the... More

We have eaten at the bull the last two sunday evenings and had a really good food and service. We were a party of 13 and all chose something different. All meals arrived together and were hot and delicious. Staff were pleasant and helpful even when we changed seats not to confuse them but to talk to guests at the... More

We regularly come to the Bull after walking our dog and often eat here as well. There is a good choice on the menu and all the food is delicious. The service and ambience is great too. They have a lovely garden which is great in the summer. Water bowls are provided for dogs who are welcome here. Would certainly... More

One of our main meals were very disappointing since several of the ingredients on the menu were replaced, but we were not advised of the substitutions. We complained and were given free deserts, but the substitutions were not acceptable since peanuts were involved with no warning, however I am hoping this will not be repeated to further diners!

We have tonight just returned from The Bull. My OH had whitebait which was presented in a tea cup, all 8 fishes, with only a slice of lemon as garnish. I had mushroom on a muffin, 2 mushrooms cut in quarters the muffin was so hard to cut. Main course was Beef and Ale pie. The meat was almost black... More
