Stopped in for lunch. Ended up having a 3 course meal. I was full after the the main, but I was so enticed by the puddings I had to try one. Was not let down. Service was great to top it all off.

We visited this lovely pub on the way to Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum and weren't disappointed. The menu was inviting and we chose two salads for the ladies and the steak and ale pie for my husband. All of the meals were a good size and were made with good quality ingredients. My husband even commented how tender the... More

Two of us dropped in by chance on the way through the village. A fairly simple menu from which we chose different main courses. We were both pleasantly surprised by a tasty dish, nicely presented by a friendly landlady. Well worth a visit.

We visited December 2014 for Xmas lunch in a large party, from the moment we arrived the staff were accommodating and friendly. This is the second Xmas meal I have been to in such a large party recently and this was by far the best much better than the yeovil court hotel, all the food arrived together, was all very... More

We went there to eat the sweets in the evening. We ended up trying the starters (smoked salmon: just delicious; and piglet: superb) too. then we had our nice pudding. We had creme brule', brandy snaps and cheesecake. Cannot be beaten! The staff was very welcoming and nice. Definitely worth all your money! Well done to your chef and nice... More

We popped into the Ilchester Arms on the way back from Yeovil. We were too shopped out for coffee in Yeovil and it wasn't quite lunchtime so decided to try our luck in Ilchester on the way home. We each ordered a steak panini as a light lunch. It took a while coming but that was only because a wedding... More

Visited with my Husband and our friend. We all ordered the steak with chips. One was rare, mine was medium and one was well done. Miraculously they all appeared together, no more than 15 minutes after ordering. They were all done to perfection. 3 clean plates and 3 very happy customers. Pleasant and friendly staff. Very reasonably priced. Excellent value... More
