We are going to go here far more often. So unusual to get such beautiful food, the chips are brown and crisp outside and fluffy inside, just like they should be. Well done Dave. The service is excellent Charlotte is helpful happy and smiles a lot, also so unusual these days. Nothing is to much trouble. They are happy to... More

We had a mixed experience at this pub. We were eating with friends and had been pre-warned that there was a live band playing so when it started with its heavy drum beat and electric guitar we weren't too shocked, but it was quite intrusive on our conversation. The food was lovely and well presented but sadly not much of... More

I have rated very good for the food. We ate at the Forester's Arms early September on a Saturday evening, haven't been for years and thought we'd give it a try. We booked a table for 4 people, even though on arrival there wasn't many people eating. We announced to the young man at the bar we had booked a... More

Large area for parking with outside seating area. Local food with good provenance, prepared and cooked with care to a high standard. We've visited several times and will be returning again as the welcome and food have always been very good. Sunday roasts are worth a detour to enjoy, but go for lunch in the week and it is quieter... More

It all seems like a work in progress - eating area a bit basic and staff a bit pre-occupied. Food well above your normal pub-grub standard, but very little choice for vegetarians on the night we visited - pizza or calzone, which is basically the same! and no offer to produce anything else when asked. Menu reads better than the... More

Quite simply amazing food, very fresh and cooked to perfection with brilliant service. If you wanted any suggestions at all, baby changing facilities would have been appreciated, oh and would be good if you put pricing on your website. Your food is such good value for money but the lack of pricing on your website is sending the incorrect message... More

Visited this pub in early August 2013. The food was excellent, the prices were very reasonable and the presentation was first class. I have eaten at the nearby Helyar Arms where the food is not as good and much more expensive.

Had a lovely meal that would rival top quality restaurants charging twice the price. But there was a loud band warming up from 8pm and playing at top volume from 9, along with their noisy fans, which spoiled our evening. The band were pretty talented, but too loud and intrusive for a restaurant.

We had a fantastic evening at The Foresters Arms. The recent refurbishment has made the pub and restaurant very light and modern, and the staff were all very welcoming. The very reasonably priced food was exceptional, excellent pizzas and steak that rivals the big steakhouses. We will definitely be back very soon!
