The new owners took this pub at the beginning of November and have made a massive impression. Very friendly and welcoming and the pub has a very homely feel with open fires on the go in both bars. The previous menu has been replaced with one that is shorter but still offers a good choice of good restaurant quality food... More

We have not been to this pub for nearly 18 months because the previous landlady was not very welcoming! We visited on Friday the 28th November with friends and had dinner. The food was amazing! The best meal we have had in a long time! My husband had the scallops and bacon to start which was fabulous and I will... More

Booked a table for 2pm for Sunday lunch by phone. Arrived 15 minutes early and told we wouldn't be able to sit until 2 although the table we sat at was in view and empty of occupants. So we stood by the bar with three children under 7. On the dot of two we were shown to our tables. We... More

The Swan has been a family favourite for a while....it was worth a visit just to eat the scotch eggs. So we were a little disappointed to visit and find the familiar menu had been replaced with a much shorter and more formal menu. The new managers/owners had only been in possession a couple of days. We stayed and chose... More

This quaint and welcoming pub is just 10 mins from Premier Inn used (I guess) often by people preparing to head for Folkstone next morning. It's tucked away down dark narow lane but worth the effort as they very kindly served us very well cooked meals - lasagne, ribs, fish - even though we arrived late at 9pm. pub closed... More

Great place to eat,one of my favourite places to eat in Ashford,if it's a steak you want try the jumbo T/bone! If its Thai food you wish to try, this is definitely the place to eat. Service is very good, very welcoming too, thoroughly recommended. I will always go back.

Only my second visit, both times for a lunch-stop on a ramble, but others on the ramble have visited more often. Peaceful village setting, lovely old building with unusually shaped windows, friendly staff, good real ale selection and reasonably-priced menu to suit most tastes and appetites. Settled for the hand-carved sandwich 'on brown' myself - lovely crusty bread, generous slice... More

Disappointed to find only roasts on Sundays and they were 'booked out'. This is despite there only being one party of 4 eating. Food was not available for 2 hours. We had a shandy & a bag of crisps but would have liked at least a sandwich. A lovely stream nearby.

I tried to visit this pub for Sunday lunch but was unable to get anywhere near it as the river it's next to had obviously burst its banks and the road and car park was under over a foot of water! I came back a few weeks later and the waters had gone luckily. The pub has a lovely location... More

We enjoyed a very nice meal, here. The ribs were tasty and fell off the bone. Huge portion and sauce very well, made. OH had all day breakfast which he enjoyed. There was a mistake in,our booking (ours) but they fitted us in even though it was a busy Sat night. Service was friendly and efficient. Will, edf return.
