I've heard great things about this place. From the outside it doesn't look like much but the food is amazing, the staff were friendly and it is pretty cheap!

Just had a great Sunday dinner with family at The Riverside Inn, Torrington Road, Ashford, Kent. We had heard good things and all were true. Really worth having a visit - lovely inside, great food and very friendly staff. Access off Beaver Road!

My husband and I had regularly driven past the Riverside Inn and often thought about venturing in for dinner based on the excellent TripAdvisor reviews. We made our first visit a couple of weeks ago and were not disappointed! This pub is not easy to find and is at the end of an otherwise miserable looking road. In fact, the... More

Firstly, don't trust Google to navigate you there. Luckily my old Garmin understands 1-way roads and automatic bollards... Probably best to book in advance as it's cozy and understandably popular. A nice menu of traditional dishes, nicely cooked. I always order whatever I fancy without looking at the price, so its always nice to find the bill a pleasant surprise.... More

Found ourselves in Ashford looking for lunch and found this place on Trip Advisor. The reviews were good so we decided to give it a try - very glad we did. It was full but we were given the opportunity to wait on the sofas for a table of 2 to leave. My husband had a pie from the specials... More

We went for the large one at £10.95, just £2 more than the normal size, we got a huge yorkie filled with lamb, pork & beef, there must have been at least 3 or 4 slices of each, 5 large roast potatoes & 2 boiled potatoes all on the big side, your own small pot or cauliflower cheese and side... More

This was the first time we have visited and were very pleased with the friendly welcome and excellent service. Good choice of beer and three decent draught ciders. We both had the large riverside Sunday roast. Three meats Lamb, pork, and beef filling a large Yorkshire pudding, roast and new potatoes, cauliflower cheese, carrots, swede, peas, broccoli and home made gravy.... More

Booked the meal in the pub by e mail, and rang beforehand to see if I could alter the timing a little earlier, it transpires that the landlady read my first e mail asking to book but didn't check yesterday to see the details so no table was booked but they said we could still come and they would "fit... Popped to the Riverside last week to meet up with family over a drink... We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed a comfy drink on the sofa before heading into the large pub garden to let the little ones to play - they loved the playhouse! Love the fact the garden is all fenced in ... Great place... More

If you are looking for the traditional pub with a great menu then look no further. A real find which although slightly off the beaten track is well worth the effort. Tip. Make sure you see the "specials board".
