Have been here twice now and would never return. The waiting times for food is beyond ridiculous. On the first visit we waited 45 minutes despite asking members of staff three times if we could order our food. Once ordered we waited half an hour for starters, over an hour for main course and over half an hour for desserts.... More

As it was within walking distance, we decided to walk to the Quays. Having previously eaten in the restaurant, decided this time to eat in the bar. The only difference being you can sit where you like and order at the bar as opposed to be sat at a table and order via a waitress/ waiter. The menu is also... More

Visit this restaurant on a regular basis as the food is nice, good value and the staff are pleasant. There is often entertainment at the weekends including a dj, tribute acts and an open mic on a Sunday evening. Restaurant is always busy and there is a nice outside area to sit during the summer.

Visited on Saturday evening for a works Xmas meal. Only £9.99 for 2 courses so didn't expect a great deal, but was still disappointed. We were seated upstairs, there were 9 of us. Unfortunately there were only 2 members of staff serving upstairs so even though the food was pre ordered at the time of booking it still took at... More

Nice, lowpriced, family restaurant and bar near the popular festival leisure park in Basildon there is an associated premier inn so you can expect a majority of business travellers during the week. Parking is a little crowded disabled/family spaces are limited but otherwise facilities for wheelchairs and buggies are good. The décor is much as you would expect although there... More

We have visited The Quays on a number of occasions and never had any reason for compliant until todays visit. We ordered our food, a Combo platter to share for starters and an XXL Burger and a Waffle Chicken Burger. We waited 40 mins for the starter, which when arrived was cold in places and looked like it had just... More

Have eaten here before and was okay thought I would try again but found the food greasy and unpallatable. Previously I have the salad but found that tastless and boring. Overpriced for the standard of the food. Service is good enough just the food lets it down. Maybe it was just a couple of unluck visits.
