We visited this restaurant for lunch during a weekend in Buxton- and how glad we were to have found it. The sandwiches were great and the fries cooked to perfection. The service was also excellent with effortless efficiently. We liked it so much we returned for some post dinner drinks where we discovered a vibrant night scene and an extensive... More

We were in Buxton for the day and had booked lunch at this restaurant, it brought back memories of our summer holiday in France. The two young servers were very friendly and helpful, the food was good. We both had starters and main course, too full up for desserts unfortunately. Don't visit if you want cheap food, do visit if... More

A damp Saturday afternoon and a huge queue of traffic to get into Buxton is not the ideal way to prepare for a lunch with friends but our visit to Buxton was made by this gem of a place. First signs were very promising with an authentic French menu of all those favourites from holidays over the years. Plenty of... More

Having previously had lunch at Le Brasserie and being suitably impressed we decided to book dinner for a family celebration. The restaurant may appear to be a little tricky to find for non-locals as its tucked away behind the soon to be renovated Crescent but in reality it can easily be found adjacent to other small eateries and shops. Le... More

Just had a really good meal here on a quiet Sunday evening. Our food was beautifully cooked and the service was really superb. A great experience and will probably go there again tomorrow night.

Another great experience at La Brasserie, they always turn up trumps, thanks Thierry! We were 11 people on our way to a show at the Opera House nearby. Our guests were delighted with the stylish decor, swift and cheerful service, imaginative menu and wonderful food. I was the greediest cos I've been there before: French onion soup, boeuf hache and... More

Good value, good friendly service and great food. Eaten here a few times now, lots of choice and every meal we've had has been really nice. Good service and nice quiet relaxed atmosphere. Nice for couples

The menu was refreshingly traditional French, all the classics. I enjoyed frogs legs and coq au vin, companions had French onion soup, guinea fowl and steak frites. We enjoyed a sparkling white and a minervois and would happily go to this friendly cheerful place again. One thing though, (?) supermarket macarons, non, non, non, Zut Alors!

Good quality food in a nice atmosphere. The only down thing is the time is taken to serve but considering we were a 14 people table it was reasonable. Definitely a must in your visit.
