I visited this delightful brasserie for an early evening meal when visiting daughter and family who live a few miles away. The atmosphere was informal and welcoming with friendly and helpful staff. The menu had a wide choice of authentic French dishes - lovely food which, in my opinion, couldn't be faulted. I came away wishing that there was a... More

Visited with the wife as a pre theatre meal, as we liked the look and the atmosphere of the premises. Situated a short walk from the theatre, about 2 minutes walk, just off the main road in a quiet pedestrian area. The croquille st jaques starter the wife had looked and tasted lovely, and the garlic pork pate I had... More

Recommended by the b&b owners (Staden Grange), we called in on a quiet Tuesday for an anniversary dinner. Staff were very friendly and the service was very good. The menu offers a range of French food choices and the starters and main courses that we chose were excellent. Although the bill included a large bottle of Breton cider and two... More

We were pleased to find such an authentic looking French restaurant in Buxton and went for a light meal at the end of a busy day. Sadly the food did not quite live up to expectations. The escargots lacked flavour and the chèvre salad was disappointing - the cheese resting on some very doughy bread and the dressing average. I... More

Stumbled across this great little restaurant whilst on a day trip to Buxton, we had our dog with us so sat outside to eat as it was a lovely day. The staff were very attentive bringing a water bowl for the dog and recommending a lovely thirst quenching French Cidre for us. I had a rustic French dish which was... More

It was fully booked when I arrived for dinner, but the owner very kindly accommodated me at a small table by the bar. My garlic paté starter was delicious and the lamb chop that followed was quite the tastiest piece of lamb I have eaten in ages. Staff were a model of how to remain unflustered, friendly and in control... More

I am quite surprised that Le Brasserie de la Cour isn't Buxton's number 1 restaurant. The menu was authentic with a huge range of dishes. The quality of the food was very good and the service was excellent. This is a 'must' to any visit to Buxton

We had an evening meal here while on a short break at buxton. It has a nice bright dining room with typically french pictures on the wall. There were two waitresses serving and they made sure everyone understood the special board which was written on french. I ordered the scallops as a starter which was delicious and my main course... I have been using the Brasserie for a few years and at one time it was the only place in town that I could recommend. I am glad to say that there are now other restaurants I can recommend but I'm afraid La Brasserie did not, on my latest visit, live up to expectations. With lunch at ~£24 a head... More
