Unexpectantly met some friends in Buxton who had eaten here before . Decided to join them for lunch at the Brasserie. Really nice food and efficient friendly service. Will be returning.

Buxton has a number of lovely restaurants but this is tucked away behind the derelict Crescent and just round the corner from the Opera House so a great location. We stopped for lunch and had a lovely meal , attentive service and great ambience . I had the steaks nan witch with a glass of the house red . It... More

We had an excellent lunch here. All of us were very happy with our meals and chose different ones from the menu. My pork was very tasty in a delicious sauce. The staff were very attentive and the restaurant is decorated beautifully

Chose to eat here on our first night in Buxton and were very impressed with the friendly service, warm atmosphere and authentic French menu. The onion and brie tarte tatin was amazing and moules mariniere was easily as good as on the Brittany coast. Just wish we had something similar nearer to home!

Dined here as a group of 9. Had drinks in the bar area first - reasonably priced wine. Good range of specials explained by waiting staff. Food generally good although some dishes didn't quite hit the mark.

This restaurant looked charming, and when we booked reservations, for the next day, much was made by the staff about the slim possibility of "getting in", but finally, we were "squeezed" in, as the last table for the following night. Wow! With anticipation, we arrived, complete with good appetite after a long day's hike in the Peak district, and appropriate... More

Dinner for two on 24 August. My starter was really quite good (onion & brie tarte tatin) but the main was a staggering disappointment. I ordered the venison and it arrived piled high with sauteed mushrooms, along with a stack of mange-touts, and sauteed potatoes. The sauce was bland and watery and the venison was tasteless and tough (likely frozen).... More
