Fab food!

Popped into the cafe here on a short break to Powys and the surrounding areas. Speedy service from friendly staff. Good range of options offered. I enjoyed the outstanding Welsh Rarebit which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the trio of cheeses which looked extremely attractive and came... read more

Wonderful! Allow longer than you think - you could spend hours or even days, browsing the books. And the coffee shop is to die for. Oh the almond and cherry bakewell served warm with cream. Heaven.

This was highly recommended by several people we met and it did not disappoint. We had a light lunch option which was delicious and in a great setting. We did have to wait 20 minutes for a table as we were a walk in but 20 minutes flew by browsing in the shop!

Worth a visit just to check out the building. Wonderful old wood beams and staircase just smelt of history.

We discovered this lovely shop and café by accident and we were so pleased we did. Best Bloody Mary I have ever had and a beautiful tuna salad and delicious chips! Would highly recommend this place and would like to visit again!

Which you do, for quite a while in fact. But looking ahead, you would expect to understand why. A busy cafe, all tables full, staff rushed off their... More

Wonderful old book shop to browse, plenty of seats to relax and read and a cafe too. Can easily spend an afternoon here or longer. So much choice, every genre you can think of, like an old fashioned library, quiet and everyone reading.
