The sandwiches were very varied both in type of bread and filling the meringues were to die for I had 2 of them well worth even paying the full price of £30 for it . Lunches are simple, eg soups, stovies, sandwiches, baked potato. I had gluten free parsnip soup which was delicious followed by stovies with oatcakes and a lovely gluten free courgette, lime and coconut cake. The staff were exceptionally helpful and so pleasant. The place is quaint and friendly. There's a huge variety of home baked cakes to choose from and we... More

Great coffee and place to have a snack or more! We stopped here after a great walk by the river and wanted a nice coffee and sandwich before our way back and couldn't wish for a better place! Nice little cafe and lovely people!

Great latte. Good choice of sandwiches ; lovely desserts; stovie had more potatoes than I like. Near a nice riverside walk. We enjoyed the patio on a warm day.

My daughter had a cheese toastie and was (thankfully) being picky and not wanting to eat it, as my wife talked to my daughter we discovered that the bread was mouldy. We took it straight to the waitress who didn’t look overly alarmed, we asked for a baked potato instead and as it was served the waiter said that the... More

You are right ...the bread did indeed have a tiny spot of mould which sent us into a panic of checking everything... We couldn't understand how that slice (so in date )had a pinprick of mould on it ...however that does not help our response to the situation. I'm sorry that our full apologies were not conveyed to you at... More

We visited Spill the Beans on 23 May this year - I just found a note and it reminded me to post my comments. We stopped off in Dunkeld for a walk with the dog along the river and decided to have lunch, it was a warm day so we couldn't leave the pooch in the car. We were guided... More

Five of us visited this cafe and we all agreed that this was one of the best that we had visited, (and we visit a lot). The choice was excellent, drinks very good and the cakes delicious. As well as this, the service was first class. I live in Glasgow, but I will make a point of returning to this... More

This cafe was nearby to the Dunkeld cathedral so we decided to have a quick lunch here. The dining area is small and they were not able to seat all of us together so the 6 of us split up over 2 tables with four at one table and 2 at another. The service was curt at first (reprimanded our... More

Thanks for your feedback and the photo of the homemade stovies with homemade oatcakes and homemade soda bread we feel that given it is under £6.00 per portion (and we are told it is very filling many times in a day) that the portions are correctly sized and priced, certainly cheaper than we see elsewhere locally .....though of course I...
