Public house and venue situated on the banks of the river Tay, in Highland Perthshire. The Taybank changed hands in Summer 2014 and is currently undergoing some much needed, and significant renovation work. During the renovation, the bar has been open, the kitchen continues to get better and better under the supervision of our fantastic new head chef, and our music sessions play on... Small but very atmospheric!

I loved the live music and traditional Scottish food. It is a rather small pub (seems to have gotten smaller as I have gotten older) but it is packed with character.

A wainters walk around the frost footpaths of Dunkeld and Loch o the Lowes ebded with a well earned (well we thought so) libation at the Taybank. We ate lunch and were welcomed to a gret scots pub atmosphere on a saturday lunchtime. Sadly we had been looking forward to the once signature stovies, but instead our party enjoyed god... More

The Taybank Inn is an institution in Dunkeld and has had a reputation as a hub for Scottish musics for decades. We pop in whenever we can for the tunes and it's always welcoming, especially on a Thursday night when it's a traditional music session with all musicians welcome. The building has needed a bit of TLC over the last... More

Back to brilliant again. Been sad to see decline, but now with new owners on the up again. If you haven't been here for years, go again...as I say, on the up again!

Have passed this place many times and always fancied stopping for a meal. Took the plunge on 28th November, wish we hadn't bothered. I appreciate that this place has a good reputation as a music venue but the restaurant failed miserably. The place was being worked on and their was scaffolding outside, that really didn't make any difference but it... More

Recently spent a great week in Dunkeld and loved it. For a small town we were very impressed by the number of good restaurants, cafe's and bars. Our favourite 'pub' for atmosphere and food was the Taybank. It is a work in progress but don't be put off by the external scaffolding. We were freezing and the open for business... More

Went to the Taybank Hotel pub for dinner. It was really to say the least very good. I had the mushroom linquiny and my wife had the venison stew. Both were so good we ended up swaping meals half way through.

The place had recently been taken over - and that's definitely for the better as the old building is finally getting some well needed TLC! However, the staff are still great, and the food on the new menu is really good, although they only have one standard type of stovies these days. They allow dogs in the bar too, which... More

Took a drive to Dunkeld for lunch and a pint. After wandering around looking at menus in windows we decided on this place. Our main reason for here was as we walked in the bar man had just sat down to his lunch and it look delicious. It was a good choice, burger and chips were excellent and watered down... More

My opinion as a Chef and food lover, the Taybank has for everybody. The traditional pubfood is created with love to the end product. If you fancy something more special, then you should have a look at the changing specials board. Over classics like a lovely cow au vin or something more exotic like a duck and spring roll. You...
