Went to the Taybank Hotel pub for dinner. It was really to say the least very good. I had the mushroom linquiny and my wife had the venison stew. Both were so good we ended up swaping meals half way through.

The place had recently been taken over - and that's definitely for the better as the old building is finally getting some well needed TLC! However, the staff are still great, and the food on the new menu is really good, although they only have one standard type of stovies these days. They allow dogs in the bar too, which... More

Took a drive to Dunkeld for lunch and a pint. After wandering around looking at menus in windows we decided on this place. Our main reason for here was as we walked in the bar man had just sat down to his lunch and it look delicious. It was a good choice, burger and chips were excellent and watered down... More

My opinion as a Chef and food lover, the Taybank has for everybody. The traditional pubfood is created with love to the end product. If you fancy something more special, then you should have a look at the changing specials board. Over classics like a lovely cow au vin or something more exotic like a duck and spring roll. You... So pleased to hear that the Taybank has been newly taken over. The menu has much more of a variety with plenty of specials and I have to say I was so pleased with our food! Staff were so friendly and the atmosphere is great!! The Taybank is on the up now and things have really improved. I also hear... More

We stopped for lunch here when out walking in the area. Food & drink good & a very reasonably priced. The bar man was chatty & friendly. Sorry we chose to come that week & not the week before then we could have experienced the music festival which the barman was telling us about. Sounded great. This place is not... More

Unusual selection of foods on the short menu, from pigeon breast with black pudding and micro salad, to the simpler stovies or home-made burgers. I've spent many an hour here enjoying a spur of the moment or organised music session. Basic wooden-floored pub with limited seating.

Well we should have a poor review for this place as we turned up to have lunch and found the kitchen closed! However, we had a lovely time sitting drinking beer and chatting with the gentleman behind the bar who came out and played us a piece he had composed himself and asked hubby if he would like to play... I stop at this pub with my friend going back to England from our Scottish trip. We decided to go in because some live music was on, as been a real pleasure to listen to the band testing some local Ale and Whisky. The staff is helpfull, smiley and lovely, we really enjy the ambiance and decide to get our... More

Haven't eaten in the Taybank for quite some time, as the food quality had declined drastically. However, knowing the new owners had produced a much different menu, we decided to try it, and were indeed pleasantly surprised! My toastie was without doubt the best I have ever had, actually had real ham inside, mushroom pate and Melba toast delicious, and... More
