First visit back to the Taybank since new owners have taken over, very busy outside but service was fairly prompt, however people that came after us had to wait for 40 minutes for their meal. The menu is very basic compared to what it was before an ewe do miss the burgers and stories...

We liked the look of the menu, but even though it was only half five on a Sunday, several of the items were already unavailable. I ordered Cullen Skink, which should be a thick creamy smoked haddock and potato soup, but turned out to be a thin watery tasteless liquid. I would have added salt and pepper, if any had... More

I love the Taybank and have been going there for years. I can see the new management are making some changes and was looking forward to lunch there. However the food was so disappointing in comparison to what it was before. We ordered a mix of cheese toasties and mac & cheese and waited 45 minutes... and it was cold... More

Went in yesterday for lunch and they had new chef in the kitchen. Have to say I enjoyed my food even the presentation had improved. Toilets much cleaner and those planters that were on the patio full of weeds have been removed. The new owners are making a difference and was told from bar staff of the plans to decorate... More

Went on a wednesday night for the first time in years. The new owners are shaking things up a bit. The clientele wasn't as cliquey, the service was good and the open mic night music was excellent. It really does need a bit of a spruce up, but it feels like its on the up.

My wife and I popped in and it was like the ghost ride at the fairground. Empty, no atmosphere and empty fridges with not even a can of coke, only tiny bottles. As for the menu it's basically a quarter of what it was. No I can understand having a reduced menu to make it bigger but come on there... More

Had food here. Hit and miss as some of our meals were lovely some not so good. Think the whole pub needs lots of tlc as it looks like it can fall down any minute. Good live music staff friendly and helpful. Nice real ale to. Worth a visit justfor the character of the pub.

The Taybank used to be one of the best for bar meals in Dunkeld but it is no longer the case. Menu is very limited and lacks any imagination. Food came to table cold and had to be sent back. We were told that it is under new ownership, my advice to the new owners would be to get the... More

The Taybank has been on a downward spiral for the last few years but now under new ownership it is returning back to top form. Highly recommend the Taybank for drinks, live music, great banter and friendly service and the best view in town!

A much loved establishment over many years which had great character and charm. Food under the new management was very poor. The stovies which have been the signature dish of the hotel were all potato with no meat and even less flavour. Cullen skink best described as fish stovies with lots of potato and no cream. I hope things can... More
