We eat in here regularly and the food is always superb. Even if you go in at lunchtime for a sandwich you are presented with something really special. The prawn open sandwiches are served with an amazing salad. Evenings menu is really imaginative and the quality of the food is excellent. Rosie the owner is lovely and always greets you... More

We found Dunoon to be a bit run down and were apprehensive about our intention to have a nice dining experience for our anniversary. Fortunately Santa had had an ipad in his Christmas stocking and this was our first holiday using on- line references.Thank you Trip Advisor for your recommendations. Chatters was superb. Intimate, friendly and with a wonderfully exciting... More

We arrived in Dunoon on a grey afternoon and a quick drive around town made us worried that we were going to struggle to get a decent meal, however after a recommendation from our hotel we booked a table. The cottage front is deceptive as it is tardis like inside and has a lovely garden room at the back where... More

Hidden gem as a previous guest advised. Went for a family meal and the food, service and attentive staff were all above our expecattions, dont understand why this restuarant is not the No1 eaterie. Best nights to visit are Wednesday or a Thursday when the bistro menu is available. Great evening, thanks

Rosemary Macinnes and her staff offer a friendly and warm atmosphere in this cosy cottage restaurant with added garden room for drinks and coffee. The decor is simple making room on the walls for exhibitions often bylocal artists.Smart move and makes for good conversation starters too! Menu is varied from tasty snacks to a full meal. Cooked fresh and always... More

This is a treasure situated in the middle of Dunoon. The converted cottage has an immediate welcoming atmosphere complemented by the welcome from the staff.Rosemary (the owner) is a superb hostess and her staff ,some of whom are her family, are smiling and so friendly. The relaxed atmosphere in the back conservatory ,where you are served pre meal drinks ,sets the scene... Having been given a gift voucher by colleagues for this location, we made the journey over on the ferry to have dinner on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is in a converted Victorian style cottage, this gives it a modern but homely feel as you walk in. We were escorted to the conservatory at the back to wait on our... More
