Went to Googies with the family at lunchtime today. Really busy and only 1 table left. We all had something different from burgers, to baguettes to Reuben's and it was all fantastic. The service was friendly and the drinks selection was very good. Will be back soon

Visited this place with friends last year and enjoyed it so much we've been looking forward to come back again. Unfortunately, our recent visit was very disappointing, not sure what happened in the kitchen but our chips were served black, way too oily and limp. Actually, thinking about it now, I'm pretty sure those were the worst chips I've tried... More

Fantastic little find, lovely customer service and the food is amazing! Not too busy a menu, yet still with great variety, we must have 'chosen' half a dozen times before we settled on the Hunters Chicken burger and Rude Dog hotdog. Food was fantastic, finely cut chips perfectly seasoned, chicken was tender and the flavours paired perfectly. Hotdog was a... More

Can honestly say that this is the best roast I have ever had and believe me, I've tried a fair few in my time. The beef was succulent, and a generous helping - the potatoes were spot on, as were the veg, and the gravy was amazing! I would love to know their secret for such an amazing Sunday roast.... More

Today was our first visit and it was totally worth a round trip of 52miles just to sample 'burgers-to -die-for'. Mine was topped with the creamiest of blue cheeses, sweet caramelised onions and (as suggested) additional candied bacon. OMG - Scrumptious with a capital S. And how do they cook those fries?! I am not normally a fan of the... More

Googies is ideally placed in the area between the main shopping centre and the old high street, the latter being an integral part of the Creative Quarter which has been developed in recent years. The restaurant is cosy with various types of seating and a decor which gives a somewhat Bohemian feel to the place. Not surprisingly it attracts a... More

I really like googies and there food is great and I'm all up for the regeneration of folkestone and I think googies can be a cornerstone of that. However I think that although the quality remains really high the value for money is coming down. We had a burger (which I believe have shrunk by about a quarter in the... More
