This restaurant was friendly, spotlessly clean, with friendly staff and freshly cooked food. Can't fault it.
The best skate I have had for a long time. Could have done with some peas or some sort of slad thrown in.Nevertheless, it was made up with lots of chunky chips and a warm and attentive waitress. A short walk from our hotel, so very convenient.
We have visited Papas on a number of occasions and cannot recommend it highly enough. The fish is perfectly cooked and, although you might have a slight wait, you always know it is cooked fresh. Well worth a visit.

After reading some of the reviews I'm shocked. The food isn't tasteless at all, what it is at Papas is proper food, not sugary, fatty and greasy traditional fish shop which is why I think these people found it 'tasteless'. Not eaten here for a while, now I remember why. Fish & chips were ok but definately over priced. Farmhouse grill was disappointing with cheap sausages used & the childrens chicken ducks meal was awful, totally tasteless. Best thing overall were the chips - fresh potatoes used, not frozen. Won't be returning any time soon.
