A comfortable evening

Comfortable surroundings. We were instantly "clocked" and thereafter well attended. Food excellent. We had 3 course plus wine and would look next time to reducing our bill. Whilst this was not a rip off, it was expensive for a night out.

Six of us for a birthday meal. Left us all with put drinks, one guest asked twice, they forgot her drink. Didn't offer drinks when the glass was empty, cannelloni comparative to cat food, Kiev was dry and tough, chicken was raw and pink in the centre. No desserts and one drink was £30 a head. Total rip off. Poor... More

Stumbled on this restaurant on a saturday evening in January .. very close to the Leas. Very friendly welcome, an excellent meal and good choice of wines. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

For lunch when my wife and I were here, they had a two or three course fixed-price menu. I did the two, she did the three, plus a glass of wine, sparkling water, and a coffee. The cannelloni was good and sauced, the pork scaloppini was adequate but nothing special, the spaghetti could have used a little something else, and... More

A bit too classy for me (my views of authentic italian restaurants are far from classy), the food is superb but taster (REALLY Small !) size...very sad as the prices are not the best and I couldn't even understand why the bill came with numbers I didn't recognise on the menu/my orders. Anyway, not somewhere I would go again...the restaurant/and... More

Myself and my wife visited this establishment on a saturday evening, and we was immediately greeted with the most friendly and welcoming staff, we was shown to a nice table for 2, where the ambience was very warming, we ordered a very nice bottle of house red wine, which was the dogs danglies. We decided to have a starter each... More

I visited this Italian restaurant for the first time with friends for lunch. What a find! The place looks modest and unprepossessing from outside because it is semi-basement. However the restaurant is like a tardis and it has a spacious dining room. Decor is traditional and comfortable. The maitre d'hote was charming and was waiting to greet us as we... More

This is one of the friendliest restaurants we have visited in Folkestone, the service was excellent, there was even a few magic tricks at the end of our meal. The was delicious, we ate from the set/menu which was good value for money. We were all more than satisfied and would return to this restaurant.

I feel a little bad for the negative comments here as the people are so nice, but following a post-dinner analysis we though this had to be said. It may have been a symptom of the time of year (immediately after New Year) but what was anticipated as being a nice family meal out ended up as being a little... More
