Description: The Chambers is at first glance a street level Coffee Shop & roasters but by far the biggest surprise lies underground where The Chambers bar takes over! Either take in the great vista of watching Folkestone town life go on around you as you enjoy your freshly roasted & brewed coffee, or venture through the coffee shop downstairs to the vast area that is our bar. Featuring TWO bars and lots of seating in large group areas or intimate nooks just for two, we offer lots for you to do & try.Our standard menu runs Mon to Sat & offers freshly made Mexican cuisine, whilst our weekly Specials board runs from Tues lunch through to Sat night & presents the best in local & seasonal dishes. We stock only Kentish Ales & Ciders & have featured in every CAMRA good Pub Guide since 2004, being regional pub of the year for 2008! Continental keg beers are very well represented too with Bitburger having a permanent place on the bar alongside German black lager & weiss beer on draught. Music is a BIG part of Chambers life & we have UK & international artistes EVERY Thurs night. Playing mostly blues, folk & acoustic originals, you'll NEVER be disappointed with the artistes playing at Chambers. Thurs night is a fine entertainment bet!! Check out our Facebook for details of up & coming players. Booking for meals advisable though not always essential.

We went to the Chambers , Saturday eve 16 Aug, found the staff very nice and helpful, I liked the setup, downstairs, in what was probably the cellar. The food was good, try it one day, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. David and Vikki from Greenhithe

We recently stayed in Folkestone for a couple of nights and visited this bar on both nights. Although midweek and the bar was quiet there was a friendly welcoming atmosphere. We ate here on the 2nd night and wished we'd had eaten here on both nights. The food was good and great value. We would visit again if we were... More

Down in Folkestone for fiancés 40th and we came here for lunch after arriving from the train station. It was quiet being middle of day midweek but warm welcome. Great beer, lovely food and a chilled out ambience.

Would just love to thank Charlie the bar lady, who has to be one of the most helpful, friendly and enthusiastic bar staff that I have encountered for a long time. She has a friendly welcome to everyone who comes in. It has a great friendly atmosphere, somewhere mixed between a good old fashioned drinking haunt and a lively modern... More

Having recently moved to the coast from the city, I was keen to find a friendly local pub where I could meet nice people in a relaxed atmosphere. I had visited the Chambers coffee shop (drawn by it's lovely art Deco frontage) on a couple of occasions when looking for property in the area, and hadn't even realised that it... More

Excellent choice of real ales, American/Mexican food menu and really friendly team. Ate as a family with two kids who were treated as special guests and we were made to feel very welcome. Great ribs, chili, pulled pork, etc. Lovely atmosphere in basement of coffee shop. What a lovely place.

Hi Alansolicitor, Crumbs! What a superb review :-) Many, many thanks! Would i be right in saying that you were around for the Folkestone Airshow on the Sat? If so I think I recall meeting you on the day. I was the hot & bothered one clearing down the BBQ from outside! I'm just so pleased that we got it... More
