Description: The Chambers is at first glance a street level Coffee Shop & roasters but...
The Chambers is at first glance a street level Coffee Shop & roasters but by far the biggest surprise lies underground where The Chambers bar takes over! Either take in the great vista of watching Folkestone town life go on around you as you enjoy your freshly roasted & brewed coffee, or venture through the coffee shop downstairs to the vast area that is our bar. Featuring TWO bars and lots of seating in large group areas or intimate nooks just for two, we offer lots for you to do & try.Our standard menu runs Mon to Sat & offers freshly made Mexican cuisine, whilst our weekly Specials board runs from Tues lunch through to Sat night & presents the best in local & seasonal dishes. We stock only Kentish Ales & Ciders & have featured in every CAMRA good Pub Guide since 2004, being regional pub of the year for 2008! Continental keg beers are very well represented too with Bitburger having a permanent place on the bar alongside German black lager & weiss beer on draught. Music is a BIG part of Chambers life & we have UK & international artistes EVERY Thurs night. Playing mostly blues, folk & acoustic originals, you'll NEVER be disappointed with the artistes playing at Chambers. Thurs night is a fine entertainment bet!! Check out our Facebook for details of up & coming players. Booking for meals advisable though not always essential.

Atmospheric bar

Although we did not stay to eat, having planned a meal elsewhere for our overnight stay in Folkestone, we enjoyed a drink here and thought them menu looked great. Friendly staff filled us in on the interesting history of this atmospheric cellar bar/bistro/music venue.

We've been frequenting The Chambers for years! Our kids request to lunch there on family days off. Delicious food every time, no matter what it is. . . salads, burgers, fish, Panini's, risotto, chilli (with you choice of heat!) ALL OF IT IS SUPERB :-) The staff are all very welcoming, making a great, relaxed atmosphere for all people alike.... More

The Chambers is a coffee bar/bistro upstairs and a pub/club/bistro downstairs. It is friendly, represents good quality and is lively without being brash. Well worth a visit - the music is very good and the beers are very carefully selected, the food is very good.

We have always been fans of Chambers and spent a lot of time there before we got married and had children! My husband took me there for a surprise meal for our wedding anniversary. The food was amazing and staff as helpful and friendly as ever. Thanks for a wonderful night!

Ate here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. There was a good atmosphere and feel about the place. We had extra large nachos to start which were just amazing, finished off in about 2 minutes ahaha! Then we both had large bowls of chilli each with cheesy chips, portions were huge, tasted brilliant. I had a couple of desperados... More

I just love The Chambers. It's a real asset to Folkestone. Went for lunch on Saturday, had my personal fave - the steak enchilada - smokey roasted peppers, generous quantities of tender steak, topped with the perfect amount of cheese. So delicious. My boyfriend went for the rump steak - also superb with excellent sides of spiced corn on the... More
