Description: The Chambers is at first glance a street level Coffee Shop & roasters but by far the biggest surprise lies underground where The Chambers bar takes over! Either take in the great vista of watching Folkestone town life go on around you as you enjoy your freshly roasted & brewed coffee, or venture through the coffee shop downstairs to the vast area that is our bar. Featuring TWO bars and lots of seating in large group areas or intimate nooks just for two, we offer lots for you to do & try.Our standard menu runs Mon to Sat & offers freshly made Mexican cuisine, whilst our weekly Specials board runs from Tues lunch through to Sat night & presents the best in local & seasonal dishes. We stock only Kentish Ales & Ciders & have featured in every CAMRA good Pub Guide since 2004, being regional pub of the year for 2008! Continental keg beers are very well represented too with Bitburger having a permanent place on the bar alongside German black lager & weiss beer on draught. Music is a BIG part of Chambers life & we have UK & international artistes EVERY Thurs night. Playing mostly blues, folk & acoustic originals, you'll NEVER be disappointed with the artistes playing at Chambers. Thurs night is a fine entertainment bet!! Check out our Facebook for details of up & coming players. Booking for meals advisable though not always essential.

after reading reviews in tripadvisor for Chambers I decided to give it a try and am very glad I did. the service was excellent and the food was also excellent. We had a chicken and a beef fajitas and they were both excellent. They also filled up the sides dish with no fuss. The wine was reasonably priced and also... More

visited on Sat evening as couldn't find any town pubs, had to go downstairs to the cellar area which always gives me the colly wobbles but we stayed for a few drinks - there were not many people in but those that were, took the time to say hello. Went back on Sunday for a meal to be told, we... More

After completing our christmas shopping my wife and I went into The Chambers for a coffee, cake followed by a nice pint. The staff were welcoming and the seating was comfortable, fresh coffee within minutes hot and tasty what more could we want. Prices are very reasonable look forward to returning soon.

We where staying in nearby Hythe and fancied Mexican having read the reviews for Hythes local Mexican we thought it best to travel a bit further than our doorstep. Worth the short trip into Folkestone to visit this restaurant what stood out most was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, food was good as well, not much meat on... More

In Folkestone overnight we picked this from the Camra good beer guide and the tripadvisor reviews confirmed this was the place for us to head to. After a 5 hour journey from Sheffield we arrived a little disheveled, hungry and thirsty and were made to feel very welcome. The Mexican food (fajitas and enchiladas) was good quality, tasty and just... More

We ate the The Chambers on a Friday night when the place was packed. The noise was a little uncomfortable at times, especially for my autistic daughter, however the food and the staff more than made up for it. Excellent value food and amazingly accommodating staff who pulled out all the stops for my daughter's food fads. Will be going... More

Stayed in Folkestone overnight and picked Chambers from the reviews on here. I was not disappointed, great welcome, superb service throughout, wonderful food and extremely good value for money. Big selection of ales and ciders which are needed to wash down the chillies!! Fab menu with varying degrees of "hotness" available. Loved the "ghost" ribs and wings, really got a... More

Hi MrsGorgeous & thanks for your review of The Chambers You're quite right though in saying that the Chambers Coffee Shop & Roastery being situated on the corner as it is, DOES make a fantastic vantage point for some amazing people watching!
