Superb lunch again. Food was outstanding, service was superb and just another great experience. Fish and chips awesome, superbly cooked. Yes it's not cheap, but like everything you get what you pay for. We will be back again soon.

All looked promising when we arrived - welcoming, warm and pleasantly lit. Sadly that is the end of the good news. Once we were shown to our table just about everything was a let-down. The well worn and grubby litho-printed menu should have warned us this was going to be, at best, standard, mass produced food - and it was.... More

A table in the back room near the access to the Toilets and Tasting Room is not the place to be, especially on cold and frosty Sunday with snow on the ground. Customers constantly opening the door and leaving it open, despite Staff closing it regularly on request from a number of Diners. It needs a spring closure on the... More

We used to live in shelley but now have moved to shropshire so when we were visiting family we thought we'd give it another try. The drinks took a while to come but staff were polite and gave us a free kids meal. Food was lovely I had lasagne and it was nice but a little bit overpriced.Very good with... More

Attended the 3 Acres in a party of 13, and booked the seperate KRUG room for a Sunday lunch. ALL the guests reported a wonderful 3 course meal, ranging from fish to pork or beef mains. The menu was just right in terms of choice to ensure a consistant outcome. Various beef dishes were cooked exactly as requested, I had... More

Me and my husband went for an evening meal here in October, was highly recommended by friends but unfortunately we had a very bad experience here. We waited 20 minutes to be served for drinks. I ordered a glass off water and was offered a jug as i only wanted a glass I refused the jug, and throughout the meal... More

This is a local of ours but because of the high prices it is not frequently visited getting better value elsewhere. However we did go last week and were disappointed the menu had been reduced to a minimum and the food very "pubby" with fish and chips, steak pie type of things The ambience is good and the service is... There is clearly something about this place; go on any Saturday lunchtime and you will see the same faces dining each time! I can only think that it is the great staff and surroundings, because the few times I have been, I have found the food a bit on the 'lack-lustre' side! The evening menu is much better than the... I've been visiting the Acres for over 30 years. It has always been consistently very good. Hmmm. Is it me? My last meal there last week was mediocre at best. For starters I had a hollowed out beef tomato stuffed with small cheapo prawns with what tasted like Marie Rose sauce out of a jar, served on a basic plate... More
