A Long Overdue Return Visit

I've not been to this restaurant for some years until this week and it has become much more refined. It's still called an inn and restaurant, but it's really a Restaurant with rooms. So we went midweek and I had the Mackerel starter which was fresh grilled Mackerel and a Mackerel fish cake with... read more

Very poor second visit. After recently being recommended the three acres we tried it for lunch which was excellent, food, atmosphere and staff; we appreciated that it would be pricey but it was well worth it. We enjoyed the visit so much that we booked in again, this time in the evening, I live two plus hours drive away and... More

I have visited twice and both times I have been more than satisfied - book in advance especially at weekends as it's always fully booked.

I used to go to the Three Acres as a child...for special occasions. Even back then it was seen as a exquisite dining experience and I would always look forward to going. Many years later now as an adult I have wanted to go back with my partner to show him what all the fuss was about. We visited on... More

Visited for the second time last week and have thoroughly enjoyed both meals. The atmosphere is perfect - balancing between intimate and romantic but not too stuffy and the food is tasty. Interesting to read the signed menus on the walls too from past famous visitors. Service was fantastic and hope to visit soon.

We visited for Sunday lunch and had the set menu. The food was of high quality and the lamb dinner that I had was delicious. The price as a meat eater for 3 courses was of reasonable value but we felt that the price for the vegetarian options was too high. My husband had Yorkshire Pudding, Risotto and Desert and... More

23 years ago we had our wedding reception at the 3 Acres on 1st August Yorkshire Day. Returned to celebrate with a family meal and as always it was spot on with the quality of the food and level of service. Everyone delighted and looking forward to next year.
