I visited this cafe most weekdays for a full cooked breakfast and coffee and I have to say that the quality of the food, drink and also the prices are excellent. The cafe is spaceous, comfortable and relaxing and also has good free WIFI. The cafe operates a “suspended coffee” scheme whereby they serve free beverages (and food, I believe)... More

Okay place, shame about lack of ventilation, ended up smelling of cooking fumes. Good facilities for children with activities and high chairs, shame about the steps! Coffee okay but cake good. Service okay but staff seem more interested in chatting. Excellent location and parking nearby.

We went to Huddersfield for the last day of the food and drink festival. Unfortunately it was the day when the tail end of hurricane Edna came to town and washed the place out. Being a bit peckish when we arrived, but with no covered seating at the festival, we went searching for a late breakfast, and found Cafe Society... More

Great coffee, good food and jazz playing quietly in the background. Nice place to meet with friends. Toilet is very clean. Seating is cheap and uncomfortable.

We visit this cafe usually on a Sunday. The food is prepared in front of you which is reassuring and the food is sourced locally and is delicious. Normally have full English or poached eggs on toast, neither greasy. Staff very helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed and not hurried. Have visited during the week and this cafe is busier... More

A great place to relax in the middle of a shopping trip. I feel comfortable as soon as walk in, and always know I’ll get a great cup of tea with a delicious bit of cake, or a tasty sandwich if I’m feeling more sensible. Breakfast is also good here. Café Society also has personality, compared to going in a... More

My friends and I are now regular visitors of this café, we always enjoy the food, the service is friendly and efficient and the prices are good! The atmosphere is relaxing, definitely one of the best places to eat in the town centre. Sunday breakfast is also very good, tied in with a visit to the local "Up-market" makes for... More

Worth seeking out, as the title of my review says, it's a lovely little place. Great ambience with it's theme. Love the old pictures, music and vinyl on the wall Good value for money, good quality food and a nice warm welcome!

Often busy downstairs and can be very warm in winter, but upstairs is more spacious and cooler. Service is efficient and friendly. We often have cheese and ham omelettes for late leasurly breakfast on a Saturday. Earl grey tem nicely served in a glass bowl, coffee also very good. Nice for a relaxing break.
