Lovely

A relaxing afternoon in magnificent but comfortable surroundings. Extensive choice of tea and great sandwiches, plenty of food and lovely staff. Highly recommend.

I attended Luton Hoo for a friend’s hen party in November. The building itself is beautiful and the quality of the food was exquisite but I felt the service was lacking. Considering how much we were paying I found myself chasing the wait staff every time I ordered a drink and they never cleared our table of empties so it... More

We had a very disappointing private dinner in one of the function rooms. Something going on with the staff, so our meal was rather spoilt by what was going on in the back ground. Very dated hotel. Smelly bedrooms. It was the week before Christmas and the chimney in the main reception hadn't been swept so no log fire. All... More

I agree with the previous review... Most people don't review or complain as it was a gift. In my recent visit I found the cakes sickly...far to sweet and dense to eat. It was actually a chore! I left them in the end. Yuk!! Is all I can say. I was really looking forward to a wonderful cup of tea...... More

Beautiful house, nice dining area and staff efficient and friendly, but afternoon tea poor standard. I assume the £35 each for tea covers entry to this house because the bland sandwiches and the very dry cakes and scones very disappointing , tasteless jam and a minimal scoop of cream . I guess people don't complain as most receive this as... More

I took parents for afternoon tea on Christmas day. We all really enjoyed in there! Will come back in summer time!! Expensive but worth it!

Was taken to Luton Hoo for afternoon tea by my family. This was a lovely surprise as I have always wanted to visit Luton Hoo. The staff were very helpful. The settees where we were seated are very cosy and add to the overall effect that you are having afternoon tea in a beautiful house. The food and tea are... More

We visited the Luton Hoo in December 2015 for Afternoon Tea. The building and grounds are stunning. We have visited many other hotels for Afternoon Tea but this was very different. The service was fantastic, and the afternoon tea was very nice, I was very dissapointed that you have to pay for extra sandwiches, most other hotels re-fill the sandwiches... More

6 of us went to Luton Hoo for afternoon tea but we did not tell her where we were going. When we turned on the the long drive it was only then that the surprise was revealed. Dusk was falling but we could see lots of pheasants by the side of the drive. All the staff were very helpful and... More
