Cream Tea to die for

A gem of a Tea Room in the quiet and very quaint village of Bossington. Cream Tea as a pre-lunch snack was wonderful!

Had a wonderful lunch here on a drizzly day but had seats outside undercover as we had our dog too. From the specials menu we had excellent carrot and sweet potato soup with cheese on toast. Big tasty helping of soup and then gorgeous thick granary bread with melted cheese on top. We also had smoked mackerel with salad and... More

On a recent holiday with two friends we stopped at Kitnors and had one of the nicest lunches possible. Food was spectacular. The couple who owned it were so friendly and could not do enough for us.

This tea room exceeds all expectations. The sandwiches, cakes and pies, are all made and baked in the cottage. The tea, served in a china tea pot, and of course, china cups, cannot be bettered. The prices are very agreeable too. The service is without fault, and perhaps best of all, when one goes back, one feels at home again.... More

After a few miles walking the Exmoor coast in standard issue British weather, oscillating wildly between baking sunshine and downpours, Kitnor's was a most-welcome oasis. Their clotted cream tea and warm welcome quickly boosted sapping energy and had us up and ready for the next leg of our journey.

I've been to this tea garden for many years through many owners and it is a beautiful place to eat. The last owners were exceptional and hard to live up to but still, this isn't good enough to bring people driving out to the countryside. The coffee was good. This time was a bit of a surprise as the cake... More

Hello, we are sorry to hear that your experience at Kitnors was not as expected. I can assure you that all our cakes are freshly baked as per our predessors and are not microwaved. If we had known about your displeasure at the time, we would have been more than happy to substitute your cake for another and indeed try... More

Ok, so I'll start off by saying I've been to Kitnors many times over many years. I've seen owners change and staff come and go. But there are some things that remain consistent throughout: Eating outside in the garden is one of the most relaxed ways to eat a meal. The food is delicious! I usually have the soup with... More

Sitting in the garden on a sunny June afternoon we felt like we were in paradise. The service was excellent. Sandwiches very fresh and a fantastic choice of cakes.

Kitnors already has a certificate of excellence. That was under the previous owners. However it has just been taken and we were fortunate to visit last week in the first few days under the new team. A great welcome and we were invited to sit down for our order to be taken. Chef assured us that the scones were freshly... More
