Excellent, just Excellent

We booked high tea in advance, they couldn't do enough for us and made it a lovely experience. There was so much food we couldn't eat it all, but that wasn't a problem as they happily packed up the rest for us to take away. Stopped here after our walk and had the cream tea. This included half around of sandwiches, a scone with clotted cream and jam and a slice of cake, along with a lot of tea. All for only £8.95. We chose smoked salmon and cream cheese filling which was generous. Wide selections of homebaked cakes to choose from. All in a... More

We ordered our cream teas and sat quietly outside in the gardens at the front of the Tearooms. The sound of the stream passing over the ford and the bird singing in the trees made it a tranquil spot. The afternoon cream tea was delicious.

We stopped here after going to Tarr Steps and had one sausage & onion sandwich and a bacon sandwich, both of which were very nice. It was a drizzly day and although we chose to sit outside we were told us and the dog were welcome inside, great to know dogs are welcome even when soggy. A lovely place to... More

We stopped at Bridge Cottage whilst exploring Exmoor. Very friendly staff - nothing too much trouble, very clean tearoom (including toilet) and wonderful choice of homemade food. The cakes and treacle tart looked divine but the cream tea won out and we weren't disappointed. Can't praise this place highly enough, good food at reasonable prices.

Found this place completely by accident, would definitely go back! Everywhere is very clean and tidy, even the garden, the staff are very friendly and very helpful. We had the cream tea with sandwich, cake, scone with jam and cream and a pot of tea and everything was fresh and very tasty. Also reasonably priced. There was lots of it and... More

We hired both rooms in the Tea Rooms for our wedding party and the guests were absolutely thrilled with the hosts Teresa and Roy. Food and rooms were just perfect, thank you so much!

Though the postal address is Minehead, Bridge Cottage Tea Rooms is in the Exmoor village of Winsford. The tea rooms are in the centre of this picturesque village overlooking the ford and adjacent to 3 of the 7 bridges. As well as the delicious cream teas popular with visitors of all ages to this area Roy and Teresa serve a... More
