Quaint tearoom, with good food

We had had quiche and salad, then shared a piece of cake as the piece was very large. We elected to sit outside and watch the world go by. The menu has something for everyone, burgers chips etc, or lovely fresh baguettes, salads. The young lad who served us was on the ball, and polite and... read more

We visited a dear friend in the village of Winsford a couple of years ago and were taken to the tearooms for lunch. The food was delicious and the hosts Theresa and Roy very friendly. Last week we visited again and this time decided to book in to the B&B for Saturday night. I have to say we could find... More

This is a friendly place in the centre of Winsford providing wonderful home baking and the classic tearoom experience - china cups, of course - Miles Tea (the local brew). For a takeaway treat we asked for a slice of their traditional custard tart - as good as grandma used to bake - yum! This is a a great little... More

Absolutely delighted with our tea here. The setting is just superb. The cream tea was delicious the scones were fresh and light. Tasted as good as if they had just been baked. My husband had cheese and pickle sandwiches. Beautifully presented. Side salad and crisps. Looking forward to return visit.

For 2 years in a row we have gone to Exmoor and visited this lovely tea room. I tasted the delicious Victoria sponge last year and had to get a slice to take away. This year we also had lunch there twice with my Italian niece who appreciated all the food :) The owners are very lovely people and it's... More

We were staying in Winsford and decided one morning to have a cooked breakfast at the Bridge CottageTearoom. The Tearoom occupies a large corner plot in the quiet and picturesque village of Winsford. I recommend visiting on a day when you can sit outside in the large garden, listen to the stream and watch the horses trot by. The tearoom... More

We had an afternoon tea at Bridge Cottage. The garden is pleasant. The food was average. The sandwiches were good but the scones were disappointing (didn't taste like homemade). The staff was friendly.

I have passed this tea room many times, having hurried back from Exmoor for a cuppa at home. How silly of me! Having stopped here recently we enjoyed a lovely pot of tea and a really top notch Victoria sponge. Perfect! The tea room is right on the edge of the road but don't let that put you off. Winsford...
