If your a family living or staying in Minehead then this is the place for you! Fantastic play area, slides/frames and much more to occupy the children. The food is ok (said with positivity!) however that's sorta where it lies!... Ok! Very 'Pub Grubby' would be a good definition of their food! So if your just looking for a pub... More

Popped into this pub restaurant with my husband and my mother. The pub is big and airy with a welcoming atmosphere. Husband had a rack of ribs, mother had a lasagna and I had the fish and chips. The food was very good and there was plenty of it. The ribs were tender and well cooked. The lasagna came in... More

We had lunch and dinner here on two separate occasions. Lovely for families, but children running everywhere made it a noisy place for us, especially at dinner time. Food lovely but portions HUGE!

We do a day trip here at least once a year, tomorrow will be 3 times this year, bare in mind that this trip takes in a Hockings ice cream at Westward Ho! and a visit to Mossers in Bideford making it a 400 mile round trip. We do this because of the fabulous carvery at the Hairy Dog, I... More

It was busy therefore I felt a few short cuts? But the staff were trying to please and efficient. Very family orientated and heavily advertised within the town.

We stumbled across the pub on holiday when we were trying to find a Greek restaurant I'd heard of for our last meal of our holiday. When I saw the sign for large outdoor playground we changed our plan as I had a very tired and grumpy toddler and hadn't been looking forward to eating out! It was a wise... More

One of the better pubs in Minehead. Excellent children's play area but drinks are quite expensive. Having said that I would definitely recommend visiting if in Minehead.

In my opinion it is clear to this staff who are local and who are visitors, we were very hungry and I really fancied a Jacket Potato, with prawns £9.50 ridiculously expensive when you can get the same around the corner at Morrison's for £3,50

Whilst staying at butlins we took a little walk into town and found this absolute gem of a pub. The Sunday carvery was delicious, brilliant choice of veg and despite being jam packed we didn't queue at all. Brilliant pub if you have kids as it has a fantastic play area, lovely couple of hours.
