Visited the Smugglers today and had a really good steak and otter pie, and a burger, a little rough round the edges, but to be fair this is a pub restaurant in Blue Anchor and what it may lack in fancy trimmings it more than makes up for in the atmosphere and the convivial host, really enjoyed the visit.

Good beer excellent food great atmosphere Hannah and Kirk are doing a brilliant job and Sprocket is glad that the dog biscuit jar is back .

Went to the re-opening of the Smugglers Inn. A wonderful meal again now Hannah is back in the kitchen. Kirk serving behind the bar is very welcoming. Glad Take2Chefs are back. Can highly recommend the Burger and Steak Pie

Having been here for many years we were sadwhen they closed down in late 2014.Delighted that they are back with a new look.Had the Easter Sunday carvery and it was excellent.Lots of customers and hardly a empty plate in sight.Good selection of meat and veg served by the lovely chef and the young waiter.Good to see you back in business... We have visited this pub for years and it has always been great. On holiday and we went to visit on Thursday prior to good Friday and it was closed! Went Good Friday and they had run out of one cider, lager was not what was advertised on pump, pub was cold and all the lovely old photos had gone.... More

Every year we come to Blue Anchor for our holiday and it wouldn't be the same without calling in here. Last year there were new owners and a new bouncy castle was going to be put in the garden , my children are already wondering what it will be like.It needs something for children so parents can spend more money... A wonderful warm welcoming haven on a very cold New Years Day. The food was excellent, one of the best steak and ale pies ever tasted, pastry was as light as a feather, wonderful. I came here for my birthday turning 42 and was surprised to find the best food yet tasted in all my life so far. The cod was great and deffonitely the best batter yet. The service good and the staff friendly. Its a place i will ebjoy from time to time.

5 of us ladies came here when we were on holiday at bitlins for a weekend. We had starter and main meal which was steak it was beautiful food,we complimemted the chef and the bar staff,waitress were very friendly too. All freshly cooked worth every penny I would recommend anyone to go for food if you are in the area
