We stopped here for lunch after a blustery walk along the beach from Minehead. The dining area was warm, comfortable, and well laid out. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent, and very good value for money. After a few ciders, we were so comfortable we were reluctant to walk back to Minehead! We will certainly come... More

A friendly well run restaurant. With staff who all care about their customer. We had Christmas lunch there. We felt the meal was cooked just for us. We were well looked after by all staff on all levels. The chef came round to check that all customers had enjoyed their meal. The food was well cooked and piping hot. The... More

We had a great time today celebrating Christmas with a 3 course lunch in a venue with lots of atmosphere. This place must have been made with hobbits in mind with low ceilings and beams to be dodged by anyone around my height (6')! The staff were very attentive, efficient and above all so friendly. Our meal was enjoyed by... More

Exceptional food and hospitality! Very talented chefs and welcoming kind staff. We were made to feel so special that i've already booked again for my wedding anniversary in January! Very impressed!

Congratulations to the new owner of Smugglers at Blue Anchor. We have known Keith from his days when he ran the Star in Watchet. So on our first visit to his new venture, we were confident, that the welcome we received would be second to none. He certainly didn't disappoint us and we enjoyed the perfect meal. The Sea Bass... We went for some tea we had a beautifull meal with dessert. They have a nice selection of local drinks on tap. Friendly staff. The barr is very cosy with access downstairs with a lovely log fire. The beer garden looks like it would be really nice in the summer

We have just returned from a week in Watchet and visited the Smugglers on two occasions during our stay. The owners have only taken over this year - and their quality was brilliant. From the warm greeting when we arrived both times, to the quick service and then the fabulous quality of the food. We had main meals on the... More

We came here 2 years ago and enjoyed a lovely meal with a great atmosphere. Not quite what we got this time. meal was ok. Not the greatest I've eaten. Very pricy but then there's not really any competition. Service extremely impersonal.
