Four of us went for lunch. No cars in car park which should have made us wary! Opted for cheap lunch time deal. Two of us had curry. We were asked if we would like any sauces and said we would like some mango chutney. The waitress then told us that, because we had had the cheap deal we would... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on trip advisor. We appreciate all comments made. Unfortunately we are going into the quieter part of the year, so at lunchtimes you will not see many cars in the car park - also because we are walking distance from 3 caravan parks a lot of our customers do walk... Ashamed to say we live a stones throw from this place and always by passed the door, infact we have not eaten here for at least 20 years. Lovely meal with the family 3 courses each and could not fault the food or the service or the price as we all came away happy and very full, we will certainly... More

There has been some real whining on here about the time it takes for the food to be presented. The reason is there is no ding ding food. Everything and that's everything is made on site. That's the bread, the onion rings, the chips and the burger pate. Absolutely brilliant. Nothing was pre made, everything was made fresh. It was... More

we went here and had a lovely meal. Everything was home cooked and fresh and because of that it did take a while to get our food, but when it came it was fantastic. The bread was still warm and my partners burger was huge. I would definitely come back here and recommend it to everyone to try. The staff... More

Smugglers was within walking distance of our B&B so was definitely on the cards for a visit. The beer was good as was the meal which was cooked to order and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only down side was the lack of atmosphere and it was rather cold. As it was October (and wet) I feel an... More

A very friendly pub with a well run restaurant. The young and enthusiastic staff provided excellent service and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. We ate there twice and had great meals both times. Good value for money and a very enjoyable experience. After speaking to the chef and the owner I suspect that it will... More

Visited the smugglers as a few friends who visit there often mentioned they had tweaked there menu, so thought we would give it try. So glad we did as the food was delicious. I had the gourmet burger which was presented beautifully and tastes fantastic, my friend had the chicken parfait which she said was lovely she then had to... More

We visited during last weeks West Somerset Railway steam gala and it was busy. The staff claimed that they did not know it was going to be busy, which is odd as the railway is very popular during Gala weekend..... Our beer was good... Food was ok, but the service was very slow. The young staff were very friendly and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on trip advisor. We appreciate all comments made through trip advisor/facebook. I do wonder who was pointed out to be the manager as all of my staff wear uniforms with the company emblem and name. Each complaint is dealt with well trained, courteous staff and each one differently. Our butcher... More
