Having arrived very late for our lunch booking on a Friday, (M25 traffic), our party of 5 - comprising my husband and I, my dad (90 years old with very limited mobility) one teenage boy and a daughter of 10 - was made to feel exceptionally welcome. The kitchen staff had been held back in order to prepare our food... More

We had a dinner for two at the Winterbourne Arms and are really struggling to find anything to fault. The service was excellent, the serving staff friendly and efficient. The food was all very good indeed, with generous portion sizes. The only fault we managed to find was that one of the pieces of toast with my husband's goose rillettes... More

Having booked very last minute on a busy Saturday night, we were warmly welcomed by the owners and waitress who explained all the specials in great detail. We chose the Bacon, Black pudding and poached egg starter which was divine. My son then had the homemade Steak & Ale pie which was the best pie we have ever tasted. I... More

Stopped on the way back from North to South, just 10 minutes off the A34/M4, stunning exterior with a great landscaped garden, perfect for Sunday lunch. Service was amazing, such a friendly welcome considering they had never seen us before, we went to the bar to order and were surprised to hear we could sit in the garden and have... More

Enjoyed an enjoyable meal in the garden en route to the West Country. Very warm welcome, good food and easy to find from the M4. Prices are perhaps a little high but portions are large.

Revisited the Winterbourne Arms as I have never been disappointed with the food but previously gone during the winter. This time we sat outside in the pretty garden and had the steak and onion baguette. The steak was tender and tasty, service was good and had a really lovely experience. Thank you.

We chose this restaurant because of the reviews on this site and we weren't disappointed! 11 of us, with mum for her 92nd birthday, made extremely welcome, as the weather was wonderful we had two tables reserved for us, one inside one out so we could choose. The food was all freshly cooked and best quality, service was excellent. We... More

We met up with friends here for Sunday lunch. Winterbourne is a really charming little village and the pub is idyllic. It's not flash or too olde worlde, just authentic and comfortable. It was a glorious day so we ate outside and the staff were absolutely lovely. Two of us had the spicy seared salmon with salad and thin fries... More

The Winterbourne Arms in Winterbourne (no surprises there) is a real hidden gem. The pub is housed in a lovely old building in a beautiful village. The staff are charming, helpful and make you feel welcomed and relaxed. The food was fantastic. I have a black pudding, bacon and soft poached egg salad, my wife have the chicken and avocado... More
