Love the roof terrace, it has such a relaxed atmosphere

Have visited The Newbury roof terrace at both lunchtime and after work. Always a lovely relaxed atmosphere, come rain or shine. I have eaten here once and although the food was good, unfortunately, I felt it was rather over priced.

Myself and a couple of friends popped in for lunch on Bank holiday Monday. The service was brilliant, the food was excellent and the whole general atmosphere was one of relaxed sophistication. The absolute icing on the cake for me was being able to have my delicious "Newbury Burger" cooked rare to my liking, a very unusual occurrence!!

I never tried this place when it was just a pub but a friend and I gave it a try recently and were very pleased we did. It's a veritable rabbit warren with many separate areas all well furnished. We tried the lunch menu and the food was tasty, well priced and there was a good selection. Whist we were... More

This is the first visit and it was for Sunday Lunch. Very disappointing roast dinner followed by small desert of ice cream. The roast beef was stringy, fatty pretty unpleasant and despite a request for more well cooked beef by one of our party, the beef was very rare indeed and had to be sent back. The service was fine... I have visited this pub a number of times and it's going down hill. I attended for a meal that was 10 pounds per head which is very good but I believe the majority of the cost was soaked up by the host. The food on this occasion was okay the service was slow but this was forgiven as there... More

Had a business dinner at the Newbury. The waiter was very welcoming and nice. I ordered a rump steak which was absolutely delicious and cooked exactly as i described. Would definitely recommend it.

We booked a table for 8 at 6pm and were the only diners in the restaurant. The waitress was very poorly trained and didn't listen attentively. The starters eventually came close to 7pm but only half of what we ordered. At no point were we asked if they could get us more drinks. The main courses and desserts also took... More

I have regularly used the Newbury to meet and discuss business. The new chef has radically improved the food offer. This is a great and friendly venue with a cool bar feel in the evening

I recently had a new business launch at The Newbury and it was great, the staff are lovely and accommodated everything for me. The food was beautiful and the presentation was exceptional. Will be going back for next year's anniversary.

We look forward to making arrangements for you first year anniversary and subsequent years thereafter although we do hope you won't leave it a year before you visit us again.
