Very good food and service, attractive bistro. Highly recommended.

Delicious Oysters Kilpatrick and tasty seafood chowder with lovely fresh bread were our choice of starters. The oysters were excellent, plump and lightly cooked, and very fresh. Delicious Oysters Kilpatrick and tasty seafood chowder with lovely fresh bread were our choice of starters. The oysters were excellent, plump and lightly cooked, and very fresh. We tried the Skate Wings and Lobster Thermidor with scallops for our main course, both were delicious, scallops beautifully and lightly cooked. Only slight criticism is the very modest size of the lobster... More

We found this restaurant by chance while walking back to our hotel and decided to give it a try. On arrival we were shown to a small seating area where we could look at the menus at our leisure,we ordered our drinks(ate the crisps provided)and decided what to order. The food was plentiful and very tasty, the staff were helpful and... More

We had a lovely time at this restaurant. The food, the service and the ambiance were great. If you are looking for for something other than the normal pub grub then we would strongly recommend this place. Not too expensive either. Would definitely return.

When we arrived, we were given a menu, but I found its best not using it. The owner came to sit with us with our aperitif and talked to us about what he's got today, learnt what sort of thing we like to eat, then set his kitchen staff to make dishes specific to our taste. We were not disappointed,... More

Great fish restaurant, when you want a real fish meal and not just fish and chips! A very busy restaurant with a great atmosphere. William the owner comes and sits with you in the bar to discuss your choices and drinks. We were very impressed with all of it, the fish was very fresh and really tasty. Great to eat... More

Stumbled upon this little gem on the way to stay at the grand hotel. Excellent staff, excellent food. Can't wait to eat again on our return in september. Won't recommend the grand tho.

Probably our fifth visit and as good as ever. Ate there on Sunday 12 July and was greeted by William who told us that there was a spacial deal of a starter and main course for £20 per head. Always great cooking and good value but even better this time!

Whilst the restaurant surroundings and staff were good, the service from the kitchen was really poor. We were a party of ten (10) and whilst we appreciate that all the food was cooked to order it did take a while for the main course to arrive, it felt 'an age' even though we had a lot to chat about being... While waiting to be seated the owner sat with us and talked us through the menu. He was chatty, funny and seemed a nice chap. The food was exceptional; the mussels in wine were the best I've eaten to date. We were offered a meal deal (it was a Wednesday) so we found it very reasonably priced. Would definitely return.
