After debating which place to choose for our fish and chips from the plethora available on the front we chose the fish pan. We weren't disappointed, we both had the fish special, just the right amount of food, crispy not too greasy batter on the fish and prompt service.

Did not book, and arrived early evening on a Sunday. Was taken upstairs and given a window seat. As it was hot, the windows were open and a seagull was sat on the window ledge for the entire meal. There were signs up asking people to not feed the gulls, but I guess that some have ignored this. The food... More

Absolutely horrendous! Three of us had the battered sausage and chips and three of us ended up either feeling sick or being sick. It was absolutely vile. The sausage in itself was so chewy gave most of it to the poor dog. Ended up throwing virtually all of it away. I can't stress how disgusting it was. Don't go!

The fish and chips were the best fish and chips I have ever had! The fish was in fresh an light batter and the chips were hot and scrumptious. The service was quick and speedy and the staff were very friendly, would recommend to anyone!

My wife and I enjoyed a meal in the restaurant upstairs. I had steamed haddock, chips, and mushy peas - truly the most delicious I have eaten. Views over the beach added to the delight.

Fantastic - attentive, fast service, food was delicious (not at all dry!) We had the cod and chips but couldn't finish it all due to the generous servings! Child's meal excellent value. Would definitely highly recommend.

Went In as a table of 6 with 2 elderly family members. The staff were so unhelpful and rude. They told us there was a table upstairs but there was only separate ones that they wouldn't put together, they didn't tell us this until after my 75 year old grandparents had already climbed the stairs. I work in a restaurant... More

During another visit to Scarborough, as a family of 7 we decided to eat at our favourite chippy on the seafront before returning home. We were all very impressed with the portion sizes of the children's meal and felt once again that the food was excellent value for money. As usual, the service was fantastic. Will be back sometime next... More
