We were looking for somewhere to have Sunday lunch in or around Scarborough and after reading the good reviews about Bryherstones Inn decided to give it a try. We weren't disappointed! The greeting we got when we arrived was friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious and well presented. Starters were excellent. It was all home cooked, lovely large slices... More

We have eaten here before and returned with family for an evening meal. We ate in the lounge area which was quiet (Sunday evening) one of several high quality areas to eat in this lovely pub. The service was excellent friendly and prompt. The food as always was excellent. I would highly recommend the Bryherstones as a place to eat,

We visited bryherstones inn early evening. The bar staff were very friendly, offered us a quiet corner table and left us to choose a meal without constantly asking if we were ready to order. The food was lovely and only took 10 minutes from ordering to be ready. Coeliac friendly and fresh with a homely atmosphere- highly recommended!

Lovely country pub on the Cloughton to Ravenscar road north of Scarborough, log fire, excellently kept hand pulled beer, friendly staff and superb home cooked food, much of which is sourced locally, large garden to rear with play area and a large car park. Landlord has been born and bred into the hospitality business and it shows.

In all reality for consistency and value for money this is probably number 1 in Scarborough. Went on a Saturday night at 8pm and the place was full. Also good to see a packed car park, usually the sign of a good place. Although packed our table was waiting. After ordering the starters arrived very quickly. A nice home made... More

All i can say is what great friendly service and good food and proper homemade onion rings not those frozen rubbish. Good hand pulled bear and good wine choice and for the quality off food very reasonable priced a must go to place.

Ate here on 30/10/14 just turning up on spec. The menu is not pretentious, it's a good honest pub serving good quality, well cooked, generous portions. The thing that made the place a cut above for me was the landlord who made not just us, but everyone who turned up feel at home. Some were obviously regulars while others were... More

Managed to get a table for four on Saturday night and were not disappointed by the food in terms of quality and quantity - will definitely be coming back! The landlord made us feel very welcome, giving us his personal attention despite the pub being packed to the rafters - a great host.

This pub is owned and run by the family and it is clear that they all know what their role is and perform it to the highest standards. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm and comfortable. The food is high quality and well cooked. We had the steak pie which was full of tender, tasty steak - no gristle - and... More

Due to heavy rain fall in Scarborough tonight we had the option to dine at the Bryherstone Inn. Naturally not your first choice when in Scarborough and until 2 hours ago we didn't know this place existed! Firstly the atmosphere is wonderful really quaint and rustic, wood burning fire is an added bonus. There is an excellent sized car park... More
