Good, but not as good as expected and a little expensive

We went to this restaurant at short notice, we were in Scarborough and chose this as it was the best on trip advisor, called the restaurant and they could fit us in that night. We had a very warm welcome and were given a nice table, albeit a little too close to the next table for privacy. The... read more

We visited this place after reading the reviews on trip advisor. It's a very nice and warm pub with a nice friendly atmosphere. We had starters which were there nice. Then we had pie. The pastry wasn't the best but the steak inside was nice. Home made chips were nice. It wasn't the cheapest place costing us 95 pound for... More

A hidden gem, cosy, welcoming and serves delicious food. Visited with my parents to celebrate their birthdays. Our first visit and we weren't disappointed, we will definitely returning very soon. The place is decorated lovely and we were greeted by a roaring fire and very tentative staff. We'd highly recommend visiting this wonderful place.

We visited the Bryherstones inn for lunch today and we would just like to say how fab the meal was but not only that how lovely and hard working the staff are we will definitely be visiting again. Its many years since I last visited but brought back some very nice and fond memories Thank you very much.

Came up for sunday lunch after hearing excellent reviews and was not disappointed. Excellent quality and will visit again. Both had leg of lamb roast and followed it up with a fruit crumble! Amazing!

Stayed at a local hotel for two nights on the 2nd and 3rd February and ended up eating here both nights. This pub is a great find, a proper pub , the welcome from the staff , in particular the landlord was warm and friendly. The pub itself is clean, warm and welcoming. The food is quite simply first class and... More

I hadn't been to the Bryherstones for a couple of years until we went for a family birthday Sunday lunch. It is very much unchanged as a pub, but that is it's old world charm. It was bleak and wintry outside but there was a nice real fire lit and it was warm and inviting in the pub. There were... More

Excellent welcome and friendly staff. Good, simple, well cooked pub grub. I had an excellent burger, served rare, and hand cut chips. Well worth a visit

Lovely country Inn with lots of atmosphere. Service was good and food was excellent. Busy of course but we had booked a table so there was no waiting

After reading all the reviews we were expecting something really special , don't get me wrong the food was fine just not spectacular , portions were reasonable but yorkshire puddings were rock hard and just nothing to write home about especially for over £11 for a sunday dinner with not a great selection of vegetables , dessert was lovely homemade...
