Managed to get a table for four on Saturday night and were not disappointed by the food in terms of quality and quantity - will definitely be coming back! The landlord made us feel very welcome, giving us his personal attention despite the pub being packed to the rafters - a great host.

This pub is owned and run by the family and it is clear that they all know what their role is and perform it to the highest standards. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm and comfortable. The food is high quality and well cooked. We had the steak pie which was full of tender, tasty steak - no gristle - and... More

Due to heavy rain fall in Scarborough tonight we had the option to dine at the Bryherstone Inn. Naturally not your first choice when in Scarborough and until 2 hours ago we didn't know this place existed! Firstly the atmosphere is wonderful really quaint and rustic, wood burning fire is an added bonus. There is an excellent sized car park... More

We were visiting friends and they chose this pub from the reviews as they hadn't been there for 30 years. What a great pub warm welcoming and very friendly. Menu was so good hard to choose. One of us had the slow roasted belly pork it was amazing. Loads of freshly prepared veg too.We had 3 courses and despite me... More

We had great food here. Very welcoming and offered us choices about seating/ heating etc. The starters of pate were a little disappointing - small amount of toast v pate ( a pet hate of mine) hence the very good overall rather than excellent. Had the most amazing catch of the day - crispy batter, great chips - top marks.... More

A hidden gem! On arrival you're made to feel very welcome, the fire was lit, and the atmosphere is perfect.... now, we're very particular when it comes to Sunday lunches because so many times they miss the mark by either trying too hard or not hard enough, but not here, lovely lamb, nice fresh home cooked veg and fantastic deserts... A group of us were renting some cottages nearby. The owner recommended the Bryherstones and we were very glad that she did. We were made extremely welcome and all had excellent meals at, what we thought, were very reasonable prices. If it were closer to home, I'm sure that we would all be regulars.

first visit, all staff very friendly and helpful. Nice menu with plenty of choice inc specials board. Food was beautiful and there was plenty possibly too much really lol. Cost £30 + per head for starter, main and drinks. Pub was very cute with plenty of different areas with just a handful of tables in each which made the dinning... More

We were made to feel welcome when we arrived, however we felt that considering that we ate on a plain wooden (no tablecloth) table in the bar area we were charged prices that I would expect in a 4 star hotel. There was nothing wrong with the food, but it was not value for money taking the surroundings into account
