Nothing but praise for the huge choice of delicious gluten free food on offer, just ask as its not mentioned on the menu I dont think ... but then if you need to you'd mention it anyway :-) The pub has a good feel to it, welcoming. There's a childrens playground in the grounds too keep the younger kids happy... More

We checked on Trip Advisor for the best places to eat in Scarborough and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious all homemade, although we were strangers we were made very welcome by the friendly staff

Visited the Bryherstones for lunch and had their delicious fish and chips for the first time. What a treat! The fish was wonderfully moist and fresh, the batter crisp and delicious, chips and peas as good as always. Paul, Sally and staff cheerful and welcoming. We will be back soon.

Accommodated us - a large party of 12- at short notice on a Saturday evening even though the pub was very busy. We had our own private dining room. Excellent home cooked food and well kept beer. Good choices on the menu for all courses including vegetarian options. Lovely homemade puddings too. A warm welcome from the Landlord and all... More

We visited Bryherstones on Thursday 28th August after a day out in Scarborough. Having read some of the reviews on Tripadvisor already we booked ahead and secured a table for four. Although it was still early evening when we arrived the place was already buzzing and we were warmly welcomed by the landlady and the landlord as well as by... More

Were warmly greeted by the owner, who we've known for eons his family have been hoteliers and publicans for decades in the area. That apart he greets everyone in the same fashion. There were a handful of diners when we first arrived but the pub soon filled up with families, parties and couples all probably aware of the good food... More

Booked here because of Trip Advisor reviews. So glad we did. Friendly & efficient service, happy atmosphere and interesting menu. All starters, main and puddings were generous, well presented and tasty. Highlights were the lime cheesecake, steak pie & salmon and prawn platter. We thoroughly recommend this friendly pub, you won't be disappointed. Thank you.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit last Friday evening to Bryherstones Inn. I had been wanting to have some lobster and we chose here based on trip adviser reviews and also a kind recommendation from our B+B in Scarborough. I did have the lobster ( a half which was plenty) and it was fresh and wonderful and also... More

We ate here twice on a recent trip to the North York Moors. The food was excellent - good choice, well cooked - great fresh fish. The service was efficient and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beer was good. I would recommend the small bar area on the left by the front door - nice atmosphere -other areas... More
