Nice location for the road of B&Bs in Scarborough. When asked to order drinks we asked for beer and tap water, then the waitress returned and said she could only sell us mineral water. Food was nice, but as others have mentioned regular favourites such as falafel weren't available on a Saturday night. We also waited a very long time... More

We arrived at AZ early but it was no problem to the staff, the girl who looked after us was lovely and the service impeccable. Our starters of halloumi for my wife and prawns for me were not only unique in taste but generous in size. Both of our main meals of lamb for me and chicken for my wife... More

A lovely little restaurant with friendly staff. Service was good and there was a great atmosphere. We did find the price a little high. We had a starter and main each, a soft drink and 2 lagers and we spent almost £44 (without a tip). The food was superb - we couldn't fault it. We will go again but probably... More

Went there on Easter Sunday. Excellent value. 4 hot Mezes and 4 cold plus a main course and a drink was under £40 for 3 I think. Food was very good. Is set in a converted terrace house and only has about half a dozen tables inside though they can set two extra outside. Nice to have something different from... More

The service is here is very friendly but other aspects don't match up. The food is nothing more than okay, and they do themselves no favours by having no lamb in order to make an iskender with at peak time on Saturday night. Obviously very poor (or no) preparation. No Turkish tea either, and the rice pudding is served hot.... More

This was the fourth time I've eaten at Az (formerly known as Haz) and again I had an enjoyable evening with lovely (vegetarian) food.

My wife and I have just enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Haz (or Az) and have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant. Delicious food, really good service and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Really great to have a number of options for both of us (my wife is vegetarian and I am not). Delicious complimentary soup taster on arrival followed by... More

Have been considering to visit for some time. Decided to visit on a Saturday evening. We both selected a different main course. They were absolutely wonderful, so tasty. The down side was the dessert which at £4.50 is simply not worth it. We cannot wait to go again.
