My partner and I stayed two nights here while exploring the local area. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a view of the garden, and to my surprise not a Gideon's to be found anywhere. We found the food here most excellent, my partner totally enraptured by the Scotch egg starter while I thought the steak the best... More

Visited this restaurant on friday evening with friends . Great service. , lovely decor. , good choice of menu . I chose the still soft yolked scotch eggs in venison and boar mest , it was absolutely delicious as a starter , the beautifully cooked sirloin as a main paled into the background . A rhubarb creme brûlée finished off... More

Visited with friends, one of whom had recommended the establishment . We had the Scotch eggs (10/10 rating) risotto and Caesar Salad, both very nice. Mains, we all had sirloin steak which proved a hit. Personally I would have liked a side of veg as the trimmings were standard 'steak accompaniments. It was unclear on the menue if any further... We stayed B&B at the Coachman for a couple of days to do some walking in and around the Dalby forest area, and what a good choice it was. We had a lovely room (Dasher), with plenty of storage space , a good en-suite and a big comfy bed. There is a very cosy public bar with hand pulled beers... More

We were pleased that the Coachman was open for dinner on a Tuesday night in January, several pubs and restaurants in the area have taken to closing early in the week at this time of year. We received a warm welcome in the bar and went through to a snug area that looked as if it had been recently refurbished... More

We live in Hunmanby and often drive over to the Coachman as it is one of our favourites and worth the journey. We usually eat in the bar but have also eaten in the restaurant and the little back room and all are nice - good atmosphere, open fires, candles and so on. The hotel is a work in progress... More

Walking in from the cold into the bar with lovely log fire was a treat. The 2 hand-pump beers were in excellent condition and I could have stayed there for the night. But we were there to eat. Unfortunately, the restaurant was pretty cold and our ladies were a tad uncomfortable. However, service was excellent and we were soon tucking... More

I spent 2 nights accompanying an Italian rock band who were playing locally. The welcome was very warm and Anna the owner spoke some Italian which was appreciated. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was both copious and very tasty. We also enjoyed a delicious evening meal. The pub part of the inn with its open fire was an... More

We booked a meal here last weekend. It was a family gathering with 8 adults, 5 children and 1 baby. We ordered a drink in the bar area first- a lovely area, with roaring fire and then were shown through to our table by Anna, one of the owners. We had a table in the Red Room area, which is... More
