Terrible shame, but this lovely little place has closed down :( Hope it soon reopens as Scarborough always needs tasty places to snack.

Went in here for a snack and drink. Coffee was poor and cake tasted like it has sat there for days. Will not visit again.

Arrived in Scarborough and found this place within 5 minutes of parking. So glad we stopped! We didn't want anything 'with chips' and this place was perfect. 2 huge jacket spuds with prawns and then we just had to have some of the homemade cakes. It was nice to sit in a relaxed atmosphere & enjoy the food. A taste... More

Took my notoriously fussy kids out for lunch. The small boy wanted a bacon sandwich - no fat, well done and pancakes with maple syrup. The small girl fancied a salad wrap and banana milk shake. Only one lady to do it all - she was running around like crazy and soon produced the most excellent bacon butty - small... More

We stopped here for tea and a cake whilst walking around the town. The cake was delicious, with very generous portions. The staff were very friendly. The menu looked very interesting and was well priced. Overall we have a lovely rest before returning to explore the town.

My friends and I have been having lunches, afternoon tea etc at Taste of Magic for almost all the eight years it has been open and NEVER EVER in all that time have we had anything less than excellant food and service. Almost everything is home made - the big breakfest is always cooked fresh to perfection, the spanish omelette... More

Called for lunch with a friend a few weeks ago, we were the only diners. Huge selection on menu and reasonably priced. Came here upon recommendation from a work colleague and purely because "Eat Me" had no tables available. The small cafe felt cold in atmosphere, the large imposing fridge/counter near tables didn't help and the (presumed) proprietor/waitress seemed to... More

I was in Scarborough for an art auction at Dugglebys and not knowing the town well sought advice from the staff there. Directed to A Taste of Magic, some 200 yards away, I was struck by the bright and clean appearance of this café. Clear menus and specials were a pleasant feature. But the real gems were the food and... More

On walking past this little gem on the way to buy our son's new school uniform I knew this place was going to be special. The place looks great from the outside and even better from inside. It's immaculate, very quaint and if you're a Queen fan your eyes won't be able to keep still! The lady was rushed off... More
