Has got to be the best carvery I've ever been to. Every item of food had a great taste to it. Very well laid out and great location looking over the valley.

Still the best carvery around East Devon. Sure, it's not cheap at around a tenner (sorry, I have no idea what I paid, but I roughly worked it out) but I'm a believer in getting what you pay for. Everything nice and hot....Turkey, pork, beef and gammon available with a selection of veg, mini sausages, stuffing, gravy and cranberry/mustards etc... More

The pub was very busy when we ate – our lunch was served quickly and the waitresses were friendly & helpful.

The bar was that packed it took us 15 minutes to get someone to tell us what table number we were. When we got to our table we had a reserved notice on the table stating that we needed to leave the table at a certain time. We then had to wait another 15 minutes to have our order taken... More

Went for a Sunday late lunch carvery to this very busy pub. Spacious clean open dining areas, all very busy with diners enjoying Sunday lunch. Staff. friendly and efficient and helped us to find a table as soon as we arrived with no probs. They explained how it works, i,e ; find a table, pop to the bar and order... More

Our friends who were camping nearby took us to this restaurant for a Friday lunch. We chose the carvery which turned out to be excellent value for money with a wide range of tasty accompanying vegetables. The desserts were delicious, if a little pricey. The place was buzzing but we didn't have to queue for long at all. Would definitely... More

Went here for a bar meal this evening. We guessed that it might have been catering for the masses but overall this was not an enjoyable meal. The celery on one side salad was going brown and was clearly not fresh. My locally home made burger was not home made at all and had clearly come out of a Findus... More

Obviously geared up for feeding a lot of people quickly. Nothing wrong with that - a very good carvery meal at reasonable cost. Clean loos, friendly staff. can't ask for more really.

Went there for lunch with some friends. Had to order food at the bar which was right by the door where people come in, had to keep moving for people coming in and going past with there lunches, silly place to have the till and order area. They do a carvery every lunchtime which there was plenty of variety but... More
