We eat here almost every week & we get excellent quality food, service with a laugh & a chuckle! Gail always cooks just what we ask for. We love mash & we can have it with everything, no trouble.

We found this lovely little restaurant on our final night in Sidmouth. The perfect place to sit outside and have a meal without being on the seafront. Our dog was made to feel welcome, which is always a bonus to me. Great food, good value for money and pleasant staff, what more could you ask for! Highly recommend a visit... More

One of the few places that one can get a 'proper' British dinner; for example a chicken and leek pie with both top and bottom crust, cut from a big multiple-serving pie tin, like your mum used to make, served with fresh vegetables, proper mashed potatoes and gravy! such a welcome relief from all the chips on offer during Festival... Thanks Lynda, Tony is a real gem, an a stalwart of Sidmouth's folk week - it's busy but great for Sidmouth to have such a buzzing atmosphere for the week. Hope to see you again next year - if not before! More

My partner and I had breakfast here on Sunday. We had looked at a couple of places they were either really expensive or we couldn't take our dog in. Then we found the chattery, they had tables outside but better still our dog was welcome inside. We both had a full breakfast which came with coffee and toast . It was... More

Had a cup of tea when we first popped in but obviously very popular and busy so we booked for an early evening meal prior to a Folk Festival event, good value and quality food served well. It was very popular with other festival attendees and was fully booked, wine and beer available but really a café most of the... More

I cannot believe that, after so many years visiting Sidmouth, this is our first visit to The Chattery. We have been missing out. We visited for tea and the waitress was so pleasant and friendly. We are definitely going back for lunch. We were given a menu to look at and loved what we saw. There is seating inside and... More

When on holiday we found the Chattery we were first lured in by the fish and chip special advertised on the board outside. We managed to get a seat in the sun, and were thourougly impressed by the food, presentation and most of all the service. We would definitely recommend this place for a lovely lunch or snack.

We were in Sidmouth for the day & needed to stop for a bite to eat. We came across The Chattery. From the outside its a nice & modern looking place, seating both indoors & outdoors. Just the place in the middle of Sidmouth to stop for a coffee break and cake or two! Waiter was very attentive and welcoming. Meals looked good and reasonably priced.
