Friendly service, good quality food and generous portions. Good value for money. We arrived close to closing time but were cheerfully looked after and were not rushed.

Popped in for lunch on a Sunday, many tables reserved for regulars but we managed to find space. As well as Sunday Lunch the normal menu was available so we chose from that. Everything was good quality, well cooked and the service was cheerful. A good experience.

A wet Monday meant we decided to head for Sidmouth Cinema for the afternoon performance of Inside Out. Needing something nearby for lunch we researched TA and found The Chattery just down the road and gave it a whirl. Finding it packed we thought we would be expelled to the outside seating but were lucky as a table inside soon... More

Good value large selection of breakfasts. Looked like lots of people were return customers who book a breakfast for arrival after travelling through the night for an early arrival

Sunny morning, sitting outside The Chattery, having the most wonderful Chattery full English breakfast...What a tonic. Efficient waiter and great clean restaurant. Perfect filter coffee and a Perfectly cooked breakfast. What a way to start the day prior to exploring this most beautiful seaside town. Will return on my next visit.

The food was delicious, hot and well presented in a very short space of time. An amazing choice and variety on the menu, and fantastic puddings. The waitress could not have been more helpful or attentive, considering we were rather disruptive with a young child and a baby, not to mention pushchair and scooter!! We wish we had discovered the... More

It closed and some time ago opened under new management. Gave it a try this morning, just for coffee and cake. Clean, tidy bfair falue for money...not to bad will try... More
