Set in an enchanting little courtyard, the little coffee shop was a bonus find to our day shopping in Sidmouth. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite and the service was excellent. I ordered a jacket potato which was very nice with a large side salad and tasty herb dressing. My friend had a brie panini (special order) that was... More

If you want quaint and real - you have come to the right place. The food is made whilst you sit and wait - so be prepared to enjoy the tranquil ambience whilst Richard makes the very best home made food in Devon. Julia - his wife has created a lovely original environment with a cultural flash back to their... More

A wonderful courtyard setting, reasonable coffee (although I've tasted better in many Sidmouth cafes), and exceptionally fab cakes make this place worth visiting. But there is one problem:sadly, the last few visits were disappointing because one member of staff was miserable on each occasion and I felt like a ruddy nuisance for being there! Which is a terrible shame. If... More

Worth digging this one out - it's the place for a great crab (or Greek) salad. Great cake too and a lovely courtyard - a blissful place to stop.

This quirky coffee shop is set in a small courtyard surrounded by little shops. The coffee and cakes are really good. The menu is comprehensive and prices reasonable. The issues were poor service, eventually we had to ask for the menu and a loo that was out of order. Not great when a little effort would make all the difference.

I stopped in at this pretty courtyard cafe for a coffee with my little boy and we were tempted by the chocolate and almond brownie. Served with cream and quite delicious. Good coffee and friendly service too. I would have liked to have returned for lunch as the menu was interesting, but we didn't have time.

Its taken me over a year to come back but I was determined to pop into Selley's on my way down to South Devon just to have a lovely cake and a chit chat with the lovely owners. The place has been totally done up since last year and gave me such a refreshing feeling. It was clean, smart and... More
