Fantastic Seafood!!!

The food was fantastic and it all tasted so fresh! would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends. It was quite an expensive night, but definitely worth it! Cant' wait to come again next year! :)

This is the highlight of our evenings in Sidmouth. Not cheap but excellent value as it is so good, this freshly cooked and imaginative menu provides much of interest. I don't like puddings normally but these are beautifully produced and not heavy, sugary things. The wine is well selected and I especially enjoyed my English wine this time.

We were offered white and granary bread. The granary bread had walnuts. We both had Neil's Mediterranean style fish soup, which was very delicate, and included pieces of fish and a large prawn still in its shell. I had the Roast Beer Turbot Steak on Horseradish mash & a red wine butter sauce. An unusual combination but I'm not quite... More

Booked very late for an immediate table without any hassle. Menu was varied and well priced. We had monkfish and a steak. Veg bowls with all meals. Good wine menu and leave space for desert! Excellent all round

My wife and I spotted this restaurant whilst strolling around Sidmouth on an impromptu visit. Have checked the reviews and finding they were open on that Sunday evening we decided to eat there. The atmosphere, food and service were all lovely. The food was well cooked, fresh and tasty. The staff courteous and pleasant and found time for a short... More

We have now visited Neil's restaurant on a number of occasions and have always thoroughly enjoyed our meal. This is a seafood restaurant although there are non-fish options available for those that want them. The food is imaginative, well cooked and the menu varied. The staff are friendly, efficient and courteous. We recently arranged a walking holiday in the Sidmouth... More

we had left a restaurant following terrible food and service and were grateful for the table at very short notice. We had three fabulous courses of crab, asparagus, followed by wonderful turbot with roast potatoes. If you have the time make time to visit this place it's a delight.

To celebrate our anniversary we decided on an overnight visit to Sidmouth at almost the last minute. Having sized up the hotel, although very lovely - we decided to find somewhere in town. The Sidmouth 2015 guide in the hotel mentioned Niel's Restaurant and as my husband is a great fish fan we made our reservation. For anyone in the... More

We've lived nearby for nearly three years and finally have got round to trying Neil's Fish Restaurant. You'd think you'd be spoiled for choice for fish restaurants in East Devon but actually there aren't that many speciality fish eateries which is a shame and a surprise. OK. So, he and me and our twelve year old son went to Neil's... More

I do understand sometimes why people write bad reviews but quite frankly the ones on here are the type of people who are depriving Wetherspoons and McDonalds out of a profit. Last night the service was excellent, home smoked salmon, fish fingers with sweet chilli dip followed by lemon sole with a tartare sauce and turbot with a horseradish mash.... More
