Great food & great service

Tasty, imaginative food - the crepes with ham, cheese & chutney were delicious. Proper pots of tea, very friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.

The quality of the food in this café was enhanced by the relaxing and welcoming décor and the excellent standard of service from the staff. The quiche and salad was delicious, but I was equally jealous of everyone else's meals as they looked scrumptious too! It felt like a little haven in the middle of busy Sidmouth- fabulous.

Best hot drinks in Sidmouth. Sandwiches are very good too. You can also send clotted cream by post from here.

This is uniquely Old Sidmouth at it's best. Most locals will be saddened that the ancient Trumps store has closed, The Dairy Shop comes very close to being genuinely old. The food we had was simple but authentic real Devon fare with flavours proving that food we had years ago really did taste better, and the coffee was certainly worth... More

Having sampled our fair share of cream teas, today we found the best scones in the land. Do visit this lovely establishment. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere await you.

My sister remembered this shop from a visit several years ago and wanted us to seek it out again on our recent trip to Sidmouth. She highly recommended the Lemoncello Palento cake and it was well worth going off my diet for - delicious! My sister had the most impressive ham and brie sandwich I have ever seen and we... More

Return visit, stopped by on an icy-cold day for Honey-Glazed Root Vegetable Soup - thick, tasty and delicious. Just what I needed to get me in the mood for a bracing walk along the seafront. Still a fan of Peter's lovely frothy cappuccinos too! Will definitely be returning to my favourite coffee shop on my next trip to Sidmouth.

We called in here due to the ratings on tripadvisor and whilst I enjoyed the visit, I did wonder if I was missing something that other reviewers had seen. The interior was something different with shelves stacked with tempting preserves, Dorset Knobs, cookies, biscuits, teas and coffees all of which I wanted to take home. The young waitresses were a... we visited Sidmouth and the sun came out in December we were lucky enough to find the Dairy Shop where we bought our takeaway cream tea for £4.50 consisting of 2 scones, 2 pots of jam, a carton of clotted cream 2 teas all boxed up. We then enjoyed this cream tea sat on the sea wall watching the sea.... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your excellent review of The Dairy Shop and are pleased you were able to sit outside in December and take in the sea views. We note your comments regarding our staff, which if I recall were our two Saturday girls. We will pass your appreciation on to them, and agree,... More
