Tuesday 12th May we stopped off in Sidmouth, having had a walked around the town, it it was early evening about 6 o'clock and the sun was still shining we decided to have a drink in the Swan. The right hand side of the pub has tables reserved for diners. We ordered our drinks at the bar, friendly service. The... More

This is a small pub with a friendly atmosphere. The food is pretty good and is reasonably priced and the menu is quite varied.

Had lunch in the Swan in March 2015. Warm welcome by staff. Good beers and the food was very good. Would definitely recommend.

Got to Sidmouth on the way home from Ashburton, dear me, welcome to East Devon District Council. Awful. Signs everywhere, nightmare 30 min parking bays, parking officer in baseball cap gleefully booking people, really in your face. Dont reverse into these spaces!!!! Dont stop here!!!! Turn around! GO AWAY NOW ! BUT! Saw an A board after we managed to... More

We called here as recommended. The beer was good, but the HOMEMADE lasagne was a joke as could find very little mince in it. The pub certainly has atmosphere.

I had a great Sunday lunch in there accompanied by some lovely real ale. once you get to know the staff and they know you are qualify as a local. Back in Jack's day it took a while longer but were never an outsider as long as accompanied by a local. The great well-kept beer is what makes the place..and... More

It has such a nice local feeling about it and is not a pub which feels it has been over worked. Many of the original features are still there from 40 years ago and the building from the outside has hardly changed since it was built. A very pleasant lunch at very reasonable prices.

This review saddens me to write. We have been frequently visiting the swan for the past 8 years. My partner used to visit the swan weekly with his men's drinking group. But no more, along with 2 other locals. We booked a table and came into eat last week, to be told our fast asleep, 5 week old newborn could... More
