LOCATION This pub is off the beaten track, but well worth looking for. Parking is close by which is essential in Sidmouth. The weather was fine and we started in the beer garden, which could benefit from some plants and pots, but was rustic. STAFF We had a birthday celebration for my mother at this venue and the staff were... More

The Swan produces possibly the best salads in Sidmouth. Try the crab and prawn salad. It is superb. My husband recommends the ham and egg too. Service is good, food excellent and prices very reasonable.

This is my favourite Sidmouth pub, especially at lunchtime, when the most perfect local crab sandwiches or, better still, baguettes are to be had, garnished with a generous helping of fresh salad, and washed down with a half pint of the local ale. Bliss!

Found this pub on TripAdvisor before a day trip to Sidmouth and it didn't disappoint. The pub was busy with regulars which is always a good sign. We ate superb, sandwiches which had a really fresh salad on the side and we also had lovely cheesy chips. It's a very friendly pub which also welcomes dogs. Could not fault our... More

A traditional little pub, with great value, no nonsense type meals, with very good service. Would definitely eat here again if I return to Sidmouth.

Great pub for locals and visitors alike. Very friendly landlord and landlady and good 'pub food'. The crab and prawn salad is excellent as are most of the other classic dishes. Great for Lunch times sitting either in(although smallish, so do book) or in the summer outside in the roomy back and side eating areas. Whenever we visit Sidmouth, which... More

The beer is excellent, the atmosphere and people friendly too. The food was OK but not outstanding and, best of all, they had an old-fashioned space invader machine which certainly took me back quite a few years!
