This is my favourite Sidmouth pub, especially at lunchtime, when the most perfect local crab sandwiches or, better still, baguettes are to be had, garnished with a generous helping of fresh salad, and washed down with a half pint of the local ale. Bliss!

Found this pub on TripAdvisor before a day trip to Sidmouth and it didn't disappoint. The pub was busy with regulars which is always a good sign. We ate superb, sandwiches which had a really fresh salad on the side and we also had lovely cheesy chips. It's a very friendly pub which also welcomes dogs. Could not fault our... More

A traditional little pub, with great value, no nonsense type meals, with very good service. Would definitely eat here again if I return to Sidmouth.

Great pub for locals and visitors alike. Very friendly landlord and landlady and good 'pub food'. The crab and prawn salad is excellent as are most of the other classic dishes. Great for Lunch times sitting either in(although smallish, so do book) or in the summer outside in the roomy back and side eating areas. Whenever we visit Sidmouth, which... More

The beer is excellent, the atmosphere and people friendly too. The food was OK but not outstanding and, best of all, they had an old-fashioned space invader machine which certainly took me back quite a few years!

A proper old-fashioned pub - they serve food and Youngs ales seven days a week - we go to Sidmouth perhaps three or four times a year and eat in the Swan a least once during each visit - we can categorically say we have never had a bad meal there and the service and atmosphere are just great.

Very good food. Smallish menu changed every day. Very nice publican and staff, really friendly. Can get busy and noisy in bar. Smallish Separate dining room.. Must Book to be guaranteed a table. Obviously liked by locals.

Went here with friends on the Friday night. Sat in the beer garden with pooch (who was welcomed in the bar as well) and enjoyed the Young's ales and a lovely Thatchers cider (bit strong...be careful!) Intended to go on somewhere else to eat but was enjoying the atmosphere so much stayed here. I had Trio of sausages and mash,... More
