Good Indian food

Choice on menu excellent. Good service. Would have had less poppa dims we had three. Less rice as this all added up with drinks and sweet quite expensive. Although sweets reasonable and very enjoyable .

We chose this restaurant because it was the main Indian restaurant in Sidmouth. However, I have to say, that the food was just OK. Service was acceptable but not outstanding.

after a difficult journey, we were pleased to get a local recommendation as a consistent place and we like the cuisine. Looking through the door it looked very full but staff did find a table and felt we got a warm welcome. A wide menu of mainly Bengali cuisine with some names less familiar. Being three we ordered a selection... More

We just dropped in and we were greeted warmly, seated immediately and we explained we are both Vegan, no problem the gentleman said. Their lentil soup was very nice and the mushroom curry was exceptional. All in all, it was a very pleasant dining experience and would recommend it to anyone in the area who appreciates good service and a... More

My wife, our two boys, 12 and 9, and I visited the restaurant on Saturday evening. We had booked, as we'd come down from Warwickshire for the weekend, and on arrival were cordially greeted and taken to our table. As it was 18.30 not many diners were evident but the place filled quickly later. The food was good, the boys'... More

We chanced upon the Cinnamon Tree at the top end of Sidmouth high street when staying for the weekend and out looking for somewhere to eat. Unbooked on a Saturday, the manger squeezed us in on a table booked much later that night and before a couple of large parties due in later. Other people turning up after us were... More

As usual the food was great, as was the service. Have eaten here several times but this was the best lamb bhuna I've ever had.

This is now the third time we've eaten in here as well as having loads of takeaways from here. Absolutely awesome food! Really tasty, not bad prices, chirpy waiter, all good. Will no doubt be back.

A quiet couples night out. Saturday ev, but not particularly busy in the restaurant. The first thing that struck us was everyone was still wearing coats and scarves. It was cold outside, and not much warmer inside. Felt like the Aircon was on. Asked to have it turned off, and was told it already was off, as you'd expect in... More

So as a tourist visiting in December is was particularly difficult to find somewhere for dinner when it appeared that everywhere in the town closed down at 5pm or was extortionately priced. We stumbled across The Cinnamon Tree and thought we'd give it a go. The chicken sag was one of the nicest I've ever had and the garlic naan... More
